OFFICIAL Taylan "Tiny" May

I understand.

I’m not expecting a lot of people to agree, but I think my strong position on the topic has some merit. A couple of other posters agree.
Mate you can't be serious he's been out of footy for far too long he will need weeks to be up to speed why don't you understand that.
1st grade fitness is a high level.

He should start.

If we have to replace him..fine, but I doubt we will need to.

He’s a 110% player like Terrell.

He is elite and starts from a higher level than other players.

If anything, the break will probably turbo charge him.

He’s X factor too. Makes our mighty Starford look like McQueen.

I hear you too.

I am very anxious for his arrival, I’m genuinely concerned that we don’t have much time.

We miss the boat so often, I wonder why we drive down to the pier.

And like everyone else, I want something from the season.
I hear exactly what you're saying...

Richo saying, we believe we can get him right... could possibly be viewed as just doing a favour. Getting him in a system etc , just so he can have a chance to impress and get a gig elsewhere. Because we dont want him.

Hopefully that isn't the case and he's locked in and ready to work (for us)

Think it'll all work it's self out.

I think the “helping someone have a second chance” is just PR spin. If what’s alleged is true then he’s not a great person. This softens the blow.
He’ll be there to work, but hopefully he doesn’t fall off the wagon like James Roberts.

As in Chris Mcqueen - not sure being compared to a guy with 6 Origins and an international plus over 200 first grade games is much of a dis

I have zero problems he plays if he is actually ready.

Physical wise 12mths out isn’t much, he should be able to bounce back quickly. His mental state though still needs alot of work and is high risk that might be the bigger concern. About 2mths ago he bombed the interview with us and was suicidal (his words), has spent 5 weeks in rehab.

For me it’s more his mental health that we need to ensure is supported more than physical.

If we play our cards right we will have a top class center for many years to come (we have option for next year I believe for 2yr top 30).

I question the wisdom of our pr about “doing him a favour” etc because we know he’s being hunted by other clubs and coaching Demi-Gods such as Bennet.

So I think that argument slides away.

As for the state of his mental health, getting that right, there’s many well intended comments here, but that’s best left to professionals.

I forget the posters name who said he’d spent some time in a ward and we all embraced and supported him here. My guess is that he would argue that those with profound issues, need the right people and treatment to help.

I’m willing to rush him in asap, recognise and give full and unfettered weight to his astonishing talents as a footballer. We really need him as well.

We are balancing on a cliff and it’s all hands.

Otherwise, I agree with you 100.

Mate, even though I sort of agree with your posts on this issue I still cannot decide of you are being facetious /sarcastic or not ? I believe Taylan has the potential to be a genuine top class centre and is a very talented athlete … do you really believe this also or are you deliberately embellishing in order to prove some point ? 🤔

I'm with ya.
Fast track him to first grade...

Unfortunately I think that's exactly what they're doing and it's 3 to 4 weeks or whatever then cup, then see where we're at.

Position is his to take imo.
It'll happen.

Thanks for the inquiry TNK.

Look at his Penrith work, the fact that he is a Samoan international. That is an hyper-elite group of footballers, which some in our origin sides, would never even be considered for.

I’m dead serious about rushing him into the side.

We are at the crossroads in this comp here and now. For whatever reason too.

So we need to change things up.

Otherwise we will go down wondering, yet again and the powers that be will tell us to trust the process. The process isn’t working as well as it might. So that means we need to change a few things.

Taylan has years of training and as a bonus, familiarity with our panthera. They’ve won multiple grand finals these guys.

Api has always spoken about the value of combinations and understandings out there in battle. Taylan is ready made to step in.

There’s not much risk where we aren’t across our game. Im not going to moan on about the reasons for that, just call for change.

That’s my opinion and I illustrate it in different ways as takes me at the time!

Cheers.
