Taylor asked Farah to give up test jumper..

Seriously this is old news and has been sorted.

Robbie is playing for Australia against Samoa and the beak will get tested for sure.

Are we really going to start the BASH FARAH ROUTINE again ?

Must irk some he is still at the club, even block got the chop but the little kebab king keeps on rolling with the hummus.

Australia comes before Wests Tigers as did NSW in the 80's when Balmain had the whole pack and fullback costing the club every year, heck thats where the motto came from.

😢

Balmainboydug, relax mate it's only an opinion on wether Robbie should go on tour or get the nose done…it's really up to him...

Did you mean hommus, that stuff that goes on kebabs..

Farah is still going to have the op and represent his Country with honour…if you read past the headline....

The Dave Warner comparison is like comparing apple and oranges - IPL contracts are generally made with the players test representation taken in to account - that's why some players play half a dozen games and others play the whole IPL season. In Robbies case I have no problem with him playing if it is not going to aggravate an existing injury. Taylor only put up an option for consideration as any coach worth his salt would do.

Anyone suggesting a player should refuse the highest rep honour he can achieve and focus entirely on his club, clearly has no idea how professional athletes are motivated.

The best want to prove it & achieve every rep honour they can. If you take that avenue from a player, you take away a chunk of their motivation to perform well at club level.

What position did you play, Demps?

Arm chair critic obviously.
What about you?

That would be me sitting in the chair next to you - except I wouldn't be making derogatory comments about where our captain might be playing for his country.
I would be thinking it was an honour to be selected in the first place.

Im a bit old school and think it is horrible that Taylor even mentioned it.

I also thought it was the wrong choice to deny Brooks the chance to play SOO 20's last year.

It is a huge honour to play rep footy and players should be encouraged and supported to do so.

The old adage that the club pays the bills is true, but it pays the bills using funds provided by the NRL who raise a portion of their money from selling rights to these Test matches.

I got no problems with taylor asking the question, if he demanded Farh to stand down I;d be disappointed. On Brooks, I think we had every right not to allow (did he want to play) not to play. I believe the u20's SOO should be for players playing in the under 20/s.

Agreed. They gave Robbie the jumper because as one of the best players in the country he deserves the recognition, but realistically he's just there in case something happens to Cam Smith. Sheens would be better off with an extra forward on the bench and if Robbie needs surgery for next year he should be going under the knife now, and not running around pretending he's in the Kangaroos squad.

He had more than a chunk missing the last 7 weeks.

Again it is all about Robbie …why is he selected on the bench he is a specialist hooker? Smith plays the full 80, to be honest he does not fit into that side another Sheens classic selection .He should have had the nose fixed and had a good rest IMO,the request from his club coach was treated as I have come to expect from Robbie Farah .

i really cannot believe some of the comments in this thread. robbie is the second best hooker in the country and a decent half as we saw '07-'09\. he's played over a dozen games for his country and his state. he deserves to be on the bench over a guy who's had 1 good year imo. when you're debuting 5/6 other players in a tournament, you take as much experience as you can into the game.

'he should stop pretending he's playing for the kangaroos'
'he should've got the nose job'
pathetic and selfish comments.

I agree he should be revered on this forum. But his actions this year have left a portion of our fan base unhappy. He'll have to shut up, play well and respect the Coach. If he does that the tide will turn. Most of us supported this Club before he joined, and well be here after he's gone.

Wow… do people read past the headline...Farah and Taylor came to an agreement that he was able to represent his country with honour as well has having his snoz operation geez ..it's a total non-issue...

Unless of course you have an agenda to run against our Captain...give the bloke a break

I mean no disrespect to Farah, and quite frankly I'd rather he was starting at number 9 for Australia, but he isn't and running off the bench in place of a forward smacks of consolation prize. Robbie's had a hard run with selectors all his career. He should have been in the origin side earlier, should have had the captaincy earlier, should have been given the starting spot in some internationals that actually matter instead of playing for the PM's XI against PNG and a succession of "train on side" honours during finals period.

However since Robbie is once again a bridesmaid to Cameron Smith I think he could be using the time more productively.

NSW selectors chose Ennis and even Dean Young ahead of Robbie for years. He's obviously a better player than both those two combined. Taylor knows keeping Robbie's ego in check is vital to any success we have. He probably knew the answer would be no, but the Coach has drawn a line in the sand.
Not a hater, Robbie is our best ever player by a mile.
