JT has asked Robbie to forgo playing in the four nations so he can get his nose repaired and be ready to have a fresh start for the Tigers.Apparently Robbie has trouble breathing sometimes and JT is probably thinking of Robs health as he could be sidelined up to 6 weeks….

Any thoughts,as this is a big decision for Robbie... :sign:

Big decision? Seems an easy one to me.

How many players played through the finals series injured then had operations missing out on a test jumper? Robbie should do the same and put the Tigers first. He will only play bits and pieces in the series anyway.

While I believe it's an easy decision, I have no confidence that Farah will choose the wishes of his new coach.

King Sirro, what I meant by big decision for Robbie,is this could be his last opportunity to rep Australia….

Read the whole article its past tense origionally Taylor asked him and he was going too but then they worked out a way to do both without him missing out on test representation or extra time off because of when our break is. I personally don't like seeing any player miss test matches unless 100% essential - representing your country should always come before club

This article was only released because the whole thing had been sorted out between the two of them. It's been done to show that they are getting on well together.

& I don;t suppose there's a chance of someone changing the name of this thread to spell our Captain's name correctly?

Would it be a massive issue if he missed the first few weeks of the preseason training ??

He would continue training with the 4 Nations squad and is certainly not the sort of bloke who will throw an extra 5 kgs on in the off seasons

I laughed when I read Farah is getting his nose fixed.
Lol….
Needs it

No it doesn't. His first priority, being contracted to play for the Wests Tigers, is not to play off-season tests, but to play for the Wests Tigers. Playing off-season tests should be a bonus if he's fit and able, and should not compromise his pre-season training with Wests.

What would you say if dave Warner decided to play for his Ipl franchise instead of a test match for the Aussies?

That's different, because in cricket, you aren't as liable to suffer a season ending injury every time you play.

If Farah gets injured in the 4 Nations, that's the WT season down the dunny. There's no one to replace his role at rake, or his leadership.

No that's something Shaun Tait would do

He'd have to be one of my least favourite athlete's

Farah has the right to choose if he wants to play for his country

If we don't stop him playing SOO , why should we stop him playing for his country

Give him the pre season off , might freshen him up and extend his long term career

So none of our players should ever represent? Thats AFL.
