Taylor punts Skandalis

Its a step in the right direction, thats for sure. Just because he's a club legend, doesn't entitle him to a job that he's clearly not cut out for. And thats coming from someone who loves the guy. As Chris said, it would be a shame to see him kicked to the curb entirely, a PR role would be perfect. The only concern i have is that while changes needed to be made, will it be enough. Because while its all well and good to bring competent people in, it won't change the outdated facilities and resources they'll be using.

well taylor has got the broom working it had to happen, now who gets the gig lets hope he is a top man in his field .to john skandalis thanks for your playing days and your effort at strength and conditioning coach lets hope they can get you a job in the club some where. good luck and thank you for your loyalty to the club john over many years

You have to feel sorry for the likes of Skando and Potter, they were given sweet f all in the way of resources and support now Taylor comes in with a brand new board behind him and he has support and it looks like the resources are also coming.

Not saying for one minute that the changes were not needed, its just a shame they had one leg tied and a blindfold around their head and the questioned why their KPI's did not stack up

Great decision all round. I was hoping the club would keep him involved in some way, even if it's just running the water and relaying messages on game day. So very happy they have decided to keep a great club man on in a more suitable role than what he previously held.

While we are all applauding, myself included….lets just hope they get the right people in as replacements

Luke Portesi is gone as well.

X2 sums it up for me …well said

Although we are in the majority with agreeing with this move, the next hurdle that needs quick resolution in the same department is the training facilities. I feel this will take a little more time unfortunately.

commitment to change is a definite step forward for the club. better trained staff will demand better resources to do their job properly. look forward to hearing more announcement in the future.

Yes for sure - I wonder who Taylor has in mind to replace Skando.

I loved Skando as player but this is a good and a well overdue decision.

As someone else said to me the timing isn't great with him being named as life member but it had to happen for the betterment of the club

The times they r a changin

Fair enough, madunit. More than willing to learn the art of witty replies. You run courses on that? Sign me up please.

As others have said, Skando would be perfect in a public relations role. I don't know why some people have to mock him by suggesting he can lay out the witches hats etc. What have you achieved in your life that qualifies you to mock a great clubman like Skando?

Anyway, we don't know whether this is a real step in the right direction until we know who Taylor has to replace him.
