Taylor wants defensive woes to end..

I liked what I saw against the Sharks and provided we turn up with more energy against the Titans, I'm confident we'll get the points.

really? i didnt, i thought that first intercept by simona was a 12 point turnaround.

bit hazy on the scores but the point is, the first half was quite poor. we came home strong after some simona/teddy brilliance.

once again relying moreso on attacking prowess rather than defensive fortitude.

once i can see that grit that was being built (in patches) last year come to fruition with consistency im still going to be a bit skepitcal about our D.

holding the ball tonight will help us enormously. keeping them to 2 or less tries tonight will definitely go a long way to convincing me we've made some changes to our defence (as well as 26-0 in the 9s, and two low scoring trials).

Yes there have been clubs with good defensive forwards ..I have been watching this game for a long time and from my perspective the game has changed with the forward power play that Souths have produced that is my opinion.

I too have been watching this game for an awfully long time. My opinion is that every time the newly crowned premiers start the next season with a good win they are thought unbeatable.

Brisbane were a rabble last year and the Bennett aura had everyone wetting themselves. Even the "great" man himself new what was coming in round one. That's why he said it will take 5 years to establish another dynasty. In other words, that's how long it will take to buy all the players he wants. Phhht

Souths use their defence as a form of attack, they actually belt teams into errors and break down the other teams structures and they are the bench mark. It's the way we need to head in and it seems Taylor has them pointed in the right direction

And this was precisely the way WT played them when we beat them in the early rounds last season. If our guys can play like that again, on a much more regular basis this season, then we will certainly be heading in the right direction
