Team After Bye

We could do with a Luke GARNER type atm, a second rower that can cover centre if required at times. We have second rowers that can cover middle but none that could cover centre.
We have had a couple over the years
2 that come to my memory but can’t recall their names
On this forum 1 was often called Flipper ( Hands like flippers)
The other one just remembered
Tommy.Talau (free to sing again next year 😂)

2 things are obvious
Cant pick Mason at fullback
Cant pick Luke L on the wing
Must pick Skelton !
Lol it was also apparently "obvious" you can't pick Skelton a few weeks ago.

And that it was "obvious" LL should be picked.

For me there's not much between the two, both good and bad in the same way - a bit pointless spending time on LL when he is leaving. So unless Skelton is really bad, I'd go with him every week.

No Tiny. No Herbert. I think To'a gets another crack.

fb - Bula
lw - Laulilii
lc - Turuva
rc - To'a
rw - Skelton

Latu isn't a centre. Firstly, the guy has had the dodgiest hammies in the club. I doubt the club will want him suddenly racking up the high-speed running metres of an outside back, particularly under fatigue, and put him at risk. And I don't care how versatile anyone thinks he is. He's the club's future half, develop and play him as a half. It's a myopic view to continue to think of him as a Mr Fix it right now and continue to put his progression on hold.

The derision of several other players on the roster shouldn't lead to poor decisions regarding the development and promotion of the young players. Apart from Samuela Fainu recently, the club's record of promoting kids has been sh!t. Going back to the big 4, and then Da Silva, Mason, Galvin, Miller, the Lauliliis, Miller, Makasini, Tavana, etc they're either keen to get away from the club or leaving really early in their career, or they've had some absolute shockers. A few highlight plays doesn't mean they are ready.
Makasini ahead of To'a. To'a the other week was the worst performance by an NRL player since stats started being calculated

As long as we are missing Taylan, Api, Bula and AD, I really don't believe it makes too much a difference of what team we field. But, what I can't understand is why we continue to play established players out of position so often.

I would rather take cup player in their natural position then a first grader out of position. It does not help that we have a mixture of first graders, and cup players out of position week in week out. There has been zero consistency in that regard and why depth isn't being allowed to develop.

But, that is not to sound overly critical as 4 of our missing players are arguably 4 of our most important ones and any team would struggle in that situation.
