Team for Foundation Cup

I think coach Sheens has picked his almost first grade side for the Foundation Cup against the Roosters,to see how it lines up.It looks a good side to me and one capable of winning.Looking forward to Lui to play well at halfback…..

IMO im not really convinced with this side as im not a fan of lui i reckon Tim should play Marshall and moltzen in the halves and try taumata at full back(in his pro it says he can play there) would add some great spark from the back hes tall and fast. The backs are ok will look better when lotes here. But the forward pack looks a little light i would prefer junior moors at 114kg over 105 kg payten in the front row and not sure of fulton in the second row him and heino should change numbers on the back

No taumata is wierd,

Fitzy? really???

Lui at 7 hope he does well enough to deserve the massive sheensy wraps on him.

you can never pick what sheen is thinking, hope this is not the round 1 team,

 This player…. that player did/didn't get picked.....

Sheens is in for a looooooong season........

Plenty of positive in this trial side.....as has been mentioned others will be added.....

Well to be fair, if you're going to complain about a player not being picked, now is the time. I mean, it's a trial… what's the harm in giving someone like Taumata a run? May as well see what he has to offer against first class opposition.

He prob will run Taumata against the sharks, also willing to give Lui a break as he has raps on him for his pre season efforts but I was not that impressed with him last year in firsts. Really think Moltz and Benj is our combo of choice.

Moors is no longer 114kg, he's dropped down to around 102-104kg.

Not Fulton again. Where's all our so called back row talent ?

What the???? :astonished:

I don't rate Fulton,He has had his chance(and failed) too small and adds nothing in attact. Give some of our young, big boppers ago.

With some of the big boppas we have this year i'm surprised to see Fulton in the 2nd row - has he built up that much?- Personally i would like to see him on the bench and groomed as a backup to Robbie and get Fitzy back to the reggies.

I'm with you !!!!

I would be surprised if this side beats Easts as the Fonz has made some poor positional selections in my opinion.

Hope I am wrong.

I fail to see how Fulton failed last time????

And I wouldnt worry about numbers on backs. They will play where they need to,not what their number says.

You seem to do a lot of wrong.

OMG!!!!…imagine if we lose a trial game against the Rorters....

Slashing wrists time......Bug must do it tough .....

He's not often wrong to be fair.....

I haven't really been impressed with Schirnack. Doesn't seem to do anything other than run the ball up with minimal impact. Hopefully he's improved in the off season and isn't a waste on the bench. Would love to have seen Fifita get a go off the bench.

It looks like a familiar starting line-up with the newer players on the bench. Thats a good back-line, very young though.

The starting forward pack could be a lot bigger.

Strong side. Should account for the Roosters side.

I'm just hoping for no injuries.

Will be interesting to see God Carney at fullback… hope he drops everything that comes to him.
