Team for next round?

Unless a month off could help Rowdy I would go in unchanged If a month could help Rowdy greatly

1 Moltzen
2 Ryan
3 Reddy
4 Ayshford
5 Tuqiri
6 Marshall
7 Humble
8 Woods
9 Farah
10 Keefy
11 Blair
12 Fulton

Bell and Fulton were really immense yesterday in terms of defensive workrate.

15\. Moors
16\. Murdoch-Masila
17\. Cashmere

Only way I could feasibly work Koroibete into the team and into the team he must come. He has gone to another level in the NYC. That level that you know he is NRL quality. He can't be contained in NYC anymore.

Same team, humble in 9 if farah out, and chisholm in the 6 to partner benji. Humble play well at hooker

85 tackles between them, Liam with 42 and Bell with 43\. Have to stick with Bell at 13 going by what he is showing so far.

If Cashmere and/or Moors are dropped for Groat then it confirms everyone's thoughts that Sheens picks on favourites and not on form.

It was finally so good to see us not drop out of the game once Woods and KG got a spell. Cashy and Moors kept the team going forward, and throw in BMM and we've got a well rounded bench with high work rates and great impact. Groat offers none of these.

I agree with people on Koroibete. Once you start dominating the U20s like he is, he should definitely be given a crack at first grade. The try he scored in the 2nd half against Penrith running through a small gap off the scrum was reminiscent of Tuiaki.

I also think we're too one dimensional with Humble at half. It's obvious the ball will be spread to Benji wherever he is in the line. Miller needs to be brought in to add a third element to our attack. I don't even think Humble had one kick against the Panthers?

Miller would be a first grader with 30 games under his belt at many other clubs.

I also firmly believe that he would be highly touted, consistent and contributing. At other clubs his strengths would be worked into the game plan and he would be given the ball with time and in a variety of situations. The problem is that at our club when a young half comes up the involvement he is given is "toss the ball to the rookie when we can't think of something better to do". Then basically Miller gets the ball, everyone stands around watching him instead of running off him or even knowing what to expect and he is resigned to either passing it to a flat footed forward, doing a hit up, or kicking the ball down-field with a flat footed chasing team. The same thing happened to Lui for a long time and the same happened to Lazarus when he was given a "chance". Miller truly dominates NYC and is clearly the best halfback in that competition at the moment. He's been dominating NYC for years. He has a massive bag of tricks and all the potential in the world. He has the best short and long kicking game at the club, something we genuinely suck at. He's also a hugely talented ball runner and has all the passes required of a halfback. For his age he is a genuine prodigy. If given some one on one training with a guy like Johns + an extended stay in first grade he has a better chance than most at becoming a champion rep level halfback, the likes of which NSW haven't seen in years.

But we live in the Marshall era, so barring a long term injury to Benji that forces them to give Miller an extended go, he won't do that here imo. He will be a definite "one that got away" when he gets signed by the Titans to replace Prince and does a Daly Cherry-Evans.

Watch that 2005 Highlights DVD and watch how much better Marshall and WT are when we have a real halfback who has the overcall, gets every first touch and allows Benji to inject himself when he sees a chance, rather than having to pry open defenses and set up less effective ball runners than him. It's mind boggling that both Sheens AND Marshall fail to see the benefits of having a player capable of feeding Marshall good ball and instead play "hand it to Benji to do everything."

But I digress, I am no first grade coach so perhaps I am missing something.

I've left Lawrence out as he is carrying injuries and it's stunting his attack. He should be given a fortnight to rest and get himself right. He's not doing himself any favours playing the way he is at the moment.

If Farah isn't right, Humble to hooker, Groat on the bench.

I'm really hoping that Moors isn't dropped. He was carrying 2-3 defenders and still making meters. I like Groat but he isn't ready yet, back to NYC I reckon.

Agree totally

Same team bar Moors dropped for Utai, some like it, alot won't. Yes Utai is liability in D but he does get the team moving forward quickly!

Alex I like Moors as much as the next arm chair critic but I reckon if Utai is available Shifty will bring him into the squad at the expense of Moors IMO. BTW Thanks for the crazy sign, love the keyboard warriors on our forum!
