Team for Remaining 9 Games

Given that we've had a disjointed season in terms of injuries, I think we've done well to get this far. We've laid a good platform and we need to forget about the loss today and begin our season starting with the Manly game.

Today was a last-minute team that put in a patchy performance against a full strength team coming top of the table. I'm willing to let it slide.

Some positives:

1\. Tapau, Woods, Lodge, Ava, Gavet and Galloway.
- These guys are actually getting us moving forward. It's impossible for the backs to play without guys like this getting over the advantage line. IMO, our props have been pretty consistent.

2\. Brooks
- He is starting to take control of games. Today against the Panthers, he really took the No.1 playmaking role with both hands and did some good things.

3\. Farah
- With Farah back, he will provide firstly the stability we need, but also attack out of dummy half. He is a clever hooker and gets us plenty of penalties out of the ruck and gets us on the front foot with his runs from dummy half.

4\. Richards
- A shocker today, but wouldn't have made a difference to the result. He has an x-factor that we'll need moving into the final rounds.

5\. Austin
- He definitely adds spark and can create something individually. Hasn't had much chance at 5/8 so will be looking forward to see how he plays there. Could add another dimension.

Heading into the final 9 rounds, the players you saw today are the ones that will take us through to round 26, give or take Gavet, Woods and Farah. I've left Moltzen out because he would be short of a run and should really come back in NSW Cup.

We need to bring back the simple power game we started the season with. The risk is with injuries, we'll be in trouble, but the flipside is the teams we are trotting out each week lack some starch.

Because of our for and against, we'll need 5 wins. I reckon we can beat St George, Cronulla, Canberra, Nth QLD and the Bulldogs to scrape in with the below team.

Tapau to start the game at 2ROW because we can have 3 props getting us going in the first 20 mins and try build momentum.

Nofa into centre because he is so hard to tackle and will surely make space for his outside men.

8\. Woods
9\. Farah
10\. Galloway

11\. Tapau
12\. Sironen
13\. Blair

7\. Brooks
6\. Moses

5\. Richards
4\. Lawrence
3\. Nofoaluma
2\. Seve
1\. Austin

14\. Halatau
15\. Gavet
16\. Ava
17\. Lodge or Thompson

I like Tapau, Woods and Ava not a fan of Galloway just plodding along each week knowing there is no chance he will be dropped.
I could live with Sironen learning his trade but Blair has always annoyed me and i would like to see him dropped if we lose a few more games and then hopefully he asks for a release.

Moses and Brooks setting up for the future at 6 and 7 would be a good move with Austin at Fullback the best option for now.
Halatau I liked today he can fill in as the utility of the bench.
Then throw in the rest of Potter's favorites and there is your team.

Dropping Thomson will do me, then you have Taupau starting in the second row. Seve on the wing who is currently out for the year & Nofo who is the safest player in the team under high balls at centre. The team you named will get dominated, once Woods gets off the field who will continue what he started? Ava? Pft.
