For those people that don’t know Joey played with the dragons back in the day, only average but a nice bloke. Being involved with warren Mac back at the dogs and now with us certainly won’t hurt his boys chances going forward. out off all of his rello’s running around, one shows enough ability to go further, the others are getting a go because of joeys affiliation with warren. Harsh but true.

Joey Saukuru played junior reps at Wests before heading to the Dragons. He was in the same Flegg side as Shayne McMenemy (1994). And now they are both involved in coaching Wests junior reps, with sons in the system.

Can someone advise how Kurt Picken went?

I’ve been very impressed by Kurt ‘Picko’ Picken over the last month. Big strong centre. Apparently a Cronulla junior who played all his junior reps at Canterbury before we nabbed him.

I think he’s a real prospect 👍

Thanks mate. His father apparently was a good front rower for Canterbury but Kurt was in the Sharks' academy.

Kurt was on a dev contract with the dogs but after seeing him at pre season training Barrett didn’t rate him, hence why he’s with us. I remember his old man guy, he definitely played for st George and Cronulla, didn’t know he had a stint at the dogs.

right then, I'm gonna call it. we're gonna win Flegg this year. we still have Tupou, Peni, Camroux, Pole, Matamua, Fainu, Kautoga, O'Kane, Tumeth and Ma'anaima to come back into the side that beat the dogs this week. our KOE side won't be making finals and all these kids will filter back into the side for finals. this is the grade to watch towards the back end of the season.

What was the deal with Kurt Morrin being touted yesterday as a bulldogs local junior?
I thought I read he was part of our sg ball team a few years back?

He was got told warren McDonnell got rid of him at the bulldogs said he was no good he came here played sgball really don’t know why he left he showed promise back then when he was with us
