Team List R24 - ISP v Manly..

Manly now lead 38-24 scoring 3 tries just after the Tigers hit the lead for the first time in the game, the send off of Michael Chee Kam will be much discussed at the end of the game.
Just 30 seconds from the end of the 1st half Chee Kam was pulled up for a Knock on but protested his innocence and said some inappropriate things to the officials who took offence and sent him off, has had a major impact on the result, Jordan Grant crosses next to the posts on the stroke of full time 30-38,

Wow…Taylor scores from kick off set WT 34 - 38..

Full-time now...Big effort with 12 men for the 2nd half..

A send off for dissent - must have been some spray…

According to one there at the game..He called the ref a Gronk…that was the end of Chee-Kam...

Unbelievable, a player breaks the jaw of Teddy, doesn't miss any game time…...verbally abusing a ref for a stupid decision and you get the bin

The coach must be proud of that effort.

He may be, but I reckon Chee-Kam will cop the toe end of his boot and a tongue lashing for taking on the officials.

Yes - he must of really let fly. I would say a years worth of frustration from MCK all directed at the ref/touchie.

Don't think you would get sent off for calling someone a gronk.
Suspect it was a much stronger word that sounds somewhat similar.

Not defending the Tedesco incident, but there needs to be zero tolerance on abusing officials.

You'd think so. Equally you'd hope it was an absolute stinker or a series of howlers for MCK to call him a gronk.

Sent off for calling an official a gronk?- could only happen to Wests Tigers, what a joke.
Can anyone remember what Jamie Lyon said to Perenara i think it was. A few weeks back? Something pretty similar to "you've really got to stop being biased towards their side you're winning the game for them". It was clear as day over the microphones, basically accusing the refs of cheating and yet he wasn't even penalised for it let alone sent off.

I can only assume from the radio commentators that it was delivered in a threatening manner, with 30 seconds to go till half time I ducked out for a refill and was amazed that the game was still in progress when I returned, I hope that the loss doesn't derail a top 4 position, BTW Manly were 2nd last!.

If what was said is accurate, it's hardly abuse.

I personally would wish they'd concentrate on protecting players, should be zero tolerance on that first.

It's the inconsistency of the whole thing, yes officials need to be protected, but how the hell can this send off be justified in the context of what happened in the previous week?

I know where you're coming from, but it's apples and oranges imo
