Team List R25 - NYC
Wests Tigers NYC Holden Cup Coach Willie Peters has named his team to take on the New Zealand Warriors for their Round 25 clash this Sunday, August 28.

Kickoff for the match is at 11:45am AEST (1:45pm local time) from Mount Smart Stadium as Wests Tigers look to build off last week's stunning upset over the competition-leading Penrith Panthers and continue their push towards a possible top four finish.

With just two games remaining in the regular season, Wests Tigers sit in sixth spot on the Holden Cup ladder but are just two points of the third-placed Sydney Roosters.

In good news for the side, fullback Daniel Roberts has been named to play after being the victim of a nasty tackle last week which resulted in him being stretchered from the field.

Mark McCormack also returns from injury in the back row, with Junior Kiwi international Esan Marsters moved to the centres to cover for Tony Tali (Intrust Super Premiership).

Jack Wheelhouse will again captain the side as they look to make it back-to-back wins over the New Zealand Warriors following a 26-12 win when they met back in Round 1.

Not sure about Marsters in the centres, hope he doesnt get shown up. It will be a tough game across the ditch against a big Warriors side. Hopefully the side can get up again after a tough showing against the Panthers.

Down 12-0 but should be down about 40-0…our attack atrocious, below 50% completion I believe?

Our defense has been very good tho

Absolutely rubbish performance from our boys. Completing at under 50%.

Halves - atrocious
Backs - pathetic
Forwards - meh, very average

This team has been stripped of all quality now. Thread bare squad of backup backup backup players.

Lucky to only be 12-0 down but the warriors are playing extremely poorly as well. Any other top 8 side would be 30 points up at half time against either team!

Start this half playing simple footy. Complete some sets. Kick to corners. Build some pressure. Then once they earn the right that's when they can shift the ball around

It just looked like they were throwing the ball around with no real purpose

Game is real important for our top 4 aspirations

12-12 now with the Tigers gaining momentum in the second half. Tries to Bartley and Roberts. Jackson just held up. 22 to go

For the record, Paseka and Liddle are not playing today either, so this second half comeback has been quality so far.

Warriors stretch us down our right edge but Karwhin cleans up well and cops a knock to the melon.

Wow! We win a scrum against the feed, absolutely drove the Warriors pack backwards.
