Good to see that Simpkins has been held accountable for last week's disaster!!

We completely lost the ruck when he and Amone came on.

This coach has no long term vision for this club. He is just trying to jag a win to keep the wolves at bay. If ever there was a game to play our rookies this is it (although i thought the same thing last week also}. The exposure to first grade is what they need yet they are getting "developed" in the grandstand again.

Maybe he has seen that their game has not developed to the point that they are able to hold their own or make a difference in first grade.

If only he was CEO, he might look to get in coaching staff that could do that.

Surely young Jake and Tuki need to be in the squad somewhere. Are they not the future of this team.

They are part of the future and given Tuki is 18 and Simpkin resigned for another two years they will get lots of chances.

In a way with the noise around the senior players in the team I can understand now the season is done keeping the younger guys away from the losers , give them a run every now and then so they know what to expect .

Oh look, Madge has selected a forward in the centres again ... there’s only one way to slow down a slow backline and he knows it.

After every big loss this season all he has done is drop a rookie. Each and every time.

Lost all respect for this coach.

I like the big fella, he really tried in the last game (will be better for the experience) but IMO he was a passenger for alot of his time on the field. Still picked at 18 suggests he wasn’t a scape goat.

That makes him seem so brainless tbh. I understand that should someone else go down, Cini can cover multiple positions but that’s weak minded to go into a game thinking like “what if a player goes down”. Should be thinking “how can I give this attack a boost when they need it”. Understand Simpkin is still a very raw prospect but he’s a run first dummy half. Playing 20-30 minutes a game will do him wonders for his development.

I don’t agree with that really. I think Madge is more content with Liddle getting long minutes than we are to have a replacement hooker. Kinda the theme for the season. Growing the players.
All teams that have an 80 minute hooker really benefit from being able to carry a utility.
Mbye and or Cini to me are a just in case selection.
