Bula back and Turuva to wing is a big plus for us. Sam Fainu out is a big issue we have no second rowers of quality. When is Sam Fainu back. We have no depth and are no match for the dogs even fully fit.

You can all drop off the kid for next week
He’s playing GPS rugby

... interestingly Makasini’s Newington team was beaten yesterday and from all reports the Joeys backline cut them to pieces 🤔
Off-topic, but curious as someone very unfamiliar with the rugby/school systems over there - I've read about Makasini's rugby games often, how and why does this work with his rugby league commitments as a professional level?

Whatever team he picks, can he please focus on winning the wrestle and the ruck. Is it strength, technique, attitude.

It seems like for the last million years we have never dominated in this area..

The dogs are one of the best at it, always on the front foot which makes Galvin etc look good and they do with a pack that contains a few smaller guys.

Usually first XV starts 3pm Saturday.

He's either available or he isn't is my guess.

Will the ref to give us the benefit of the doubt in this game or as usual the rough end of the pineapple ? Maybe this game we won't need to get back 10-12metres and only 8 metres, can lay on the opposition for longer and also not worry about playing the ball? We'll get six agains late in the tackle count and not on the first tackle of the set! If douhei gets hit in the jaw again we might be lucky enough to get a penalty too!

I know it's wishful thinking! But everyone will shrug it off as the tigers don't deserve to get a fair call from the ref as they aren't good enough so the game needs to be managed by the ref to ensure the opposition wins!

Is that first XV school comp? If so, why would that Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon his first grade commitments in a professional sport?

Like I just don't understand how he could be a professional rugby league player, whilst playing Rugby... and more importantly, it taking priority?

I would think school would be more important than KOE but if he was given an NRL debut that would surely beat school boys rugby.

Swap Hunt for Bird otherwise this. Only reason is the above team has zero cover for backrow if anybody gets injured. Also, if someone in the backs got injured, Douiehi could cover but you'd then need to make up decent minutes in the middle which Hunt sadly cannot do.

Can't see a role for Hunt if we go a ball playing lock + hooker on the bench. IMO highlights why we really need a lock/hooker hybrid.

Wouldn't mind seeing Mapapaplangi at right centre at some point this year. To'a looks injured. Not sure what game is best for that though. You'd want him to get some reps at NSW cup + at training before debuting him.
