Love it 🔒Team list Tuesday!!
I would be more concerned if we were not playing last years premiers, ever team will be up to play them and prove their credentials.Hope the team doesn't read the media and it goes to their heads.
Massive game this week and hope they are switched on
Our contrasting opinion to yours is not ridiculous any more than your differing view to ours. You're right, the Tigers' wins are not due to Madden. No on is saying that. The forwards are laying the platform and the team are showing incredible resilience. However, the attack, particularly in the backline, is flowing due to Jock's straightening of the attack and ability to provide space for Douehi and co. We have to separate our favourite player thinking and look closely at what's happening in the attacking structures.AD to lock... AD to centre.
PLEASE STOP THIS NONSENSE.
He has been killing it in the halves and trained there in the preseason let's not be ridiculous.
Madden has been good but he's not the only reason we're winning games. Luai back will add some defensive starch to the squad. He's a much better defender then Madden.
I still would not say the attack is "flowing" its still quite clunky. That Newcastle left side in defense was extraordinarily bad and we left at least 3 tries out there. Not saying that will magically change once Luai is back, however we need to give him and AD a fair crack at 7 & 6 especially considering they spent the whole pre-season training there. Jock will probably go to the bench or KOE with a smile on his face as we have plucked him from obscurity and his share price will have now gone through the roof with clubs that are looking for an organizing/kicking half (Dragons). Our contrasting opinion to yours is not ridiculous any more than your differing view to ours. I agree, our attack can still be better and is sometimes a little disjointed or clunky, however, it has improved a lot since Jock was there. In the first two games v Cowboys and Rabbitohs, our attack was far more clunky, in my view. In those two games Luai and Douehi took turns having outstanding individual performances that didn't necessarily equate with good halfback play. We should have won the game easily v Souths but our halves couldn't convert in the red zone. Whether or not, the off season focused on the Luai/ Douehi combination or not, Benji should be flexible in his thinking and put personslities aside for the betterment of the overall functioning of the team. That's my view but, you needn't worry, I think Marshall will stick with Luai and Douehi and Jock will go to 14.I still would not say the attack is "flowing" its still quite clunky. Only my view but defintely harsh on Madden and, also, detrimental to the team. You obviously have not been following Toa's efforts in Cup, because based on that form, he definitely does not deserve to be picked. However, Herbert has earned his place in the squad because he was excellent v Knights and was playing well in Cup.1. Jahream Bula

Harsh on Madden, but I think this is our best team, maybe Toa gets into it if fit.
I do get you wrong. Luai would not have been there to attempt the tackle. Luai is more suspect in defence. In my opinion, Luai saves that Dom Young try in the corner on the weekend. Madden just not strong enough to force him out. Still a little suspect in defence but don't get me wrong, he has been great for us.
More concerned if Samuela is out. He and KPP have been enormous for us in both attack and defence. Could be the difference in scoring or saving a try without him.
Now Thats a solid Team1. Jahream Bula

And, to me, it's nitpicking. Madden is not there to prevent human behemoths like Dom Young crossing for tries. He, at least made the effort and forced Young into contorting to get the ball down. Also, Luai did miss the simple one on one tackle that in the end, cost us the game v Souths.I do get you wrong. Luai would not have been there to attempt the tackle. Luai is more suspect in defence.
Don't recall him ever being in that last ditch effort to prevent a try?
And he did miss a tackle and let in a try in his game earlier this year.
Maddens defence and efforts are first class IMO.
moving out our 7 who steers the team around in Jock... Not a good ideaNow Thats a solid Team
You have selective memory because Luai’s made cover tackles many times. Madden’s defence was awful in the Wahs game. They are halves, they aren’t there for their defenceI do get you wrong. Luai would not have been there to attempt the tackle. Luai is more suspect in defence.

He missed him completely in a very weak attemptAnd, to me, it's nitpicking. Madden is not there to prevent human behemoths like Dom Young crossing for tries. I think you encourage him to run the football even more at centre, not the opposite. So you want to throw away AD running game ...what he's been doing won't happen if he's in the centres
Ha ha, you're right, I'm wrong in that instance. Doesn't change the msin point I'm making though! He missed him completely in a very weak attempt
Bula was the one that made him contort.
