TEAM LIST Team vs Knights [Round 17]

Anyone really expecting us to win this? Even with an underdone Doueihi and Twal returning it’s going to be a big ask. The Knights are on fire, full strength team, home ground advantage, Ponga and Best - arghh I’m having knightmares!

Yes the likely return of Doueihi and Twal will be a big help, but are they 💯 ready or just rushing back as they know we are now in a desperate position in our bid to make the top 8 ? I am not confident they will be ready to show their best.
In light of Starford being moved on to the Sea Eagles for the next couple of season, which I think was great business on Wests Tigers behalf, but he is very rarely motivated and near his best under normal circumstances let alone now he knows he is out the door at the end of the season. Bradman Best looks a nightmare match up for him and with added threat of Dylan Lucas and Kalyn Ponga on the Knights left edge, I have no idea how our right edge will be good enough to stop them ?
One of our best attacking threats in Taylan May has looked way off the pace since returning from his second shoulder injury. He appears to be protecting the injury or playing within himself because of it and he would take a big improvement from the past 2 weeks for him to be back to anywhere near his best.
Terrell May looking exhausted after playing full games over the past few weeks doesn’t fill me with confidence either. He is looking tired and his impact is diminishing every week because of it.
Then we have the issue of a very weak looking bench.

Not the first time as they definitely played together in rounds 2 and 3 where we played well and won.
That is a good way of looking at it as I think our first choice spine is undefeated this season when playing together this season.

Yeah I know … you have already predicted WT will go 0 from 3 against the Knights and both Dragons games …

Love your confidence and at those odds I hope you win, but our ambush of the Warriors, and the Knights for that matter, was early in the season when teams were still playing themselves into some sort of rhythm. The top 6 teams are pretty well established now and for the most part are playing consistently good footy.

We’ve gone backwards and I know injuries and all, but we’re still not at full strength and our defence, which was great at the start of the year, is now brittle at best.

I believe this game has to be won to make the 8

Those Cowboys & Raiders games in particular we looked like a top 4 side. Hopefully we at least get to see a few performances like that to close out the season.

The raiders game was when I truly believed. But at the same time who knew it would actually be the collapse of our season lol
