Sometimes changes in the spine can work in funny ways.

I remember 2006 ish, we seemed to always play better when one of Benji, Robbie or Hodgo was out. This year we looked fine as a team without Luai.

I haven't loved his past performances, but if he just passes well and makes his tackles there are a few guys around him in good enough form for us to jag a win or two.

I'm hoping Luai doesn't get haunted by the ghost of Farah past and try to do everything himself: that's Doueihi's job!

Turuva is a no brainer at fullback - he's done pretty well there when needed.

Hooker is a big worry. Both because of Api's workmate and also the lack of a quality backup. Pretty sure Sione went to 9 while Api was off on the weekend didn't he?

Hope's main problem... Now, hear me out here... Is that moustache. He'd probably be awesome without it.

What's the deal with Afoa? Why hasn't he played yet (apart from being a new dad)?

And To'a did come back through cup - it's just that no one realised he was playing....

What worries me about hope he hasn’t played a lot , he will be gassed after 15-20 minutes

problem is API is the glue that makes the tigers click , Iam sure hope will be strong but he will be gassed after 15-20 minutes

Herbert no question, I honestly don’t even notice when Toa is playing.
 
Wests Tigers rookie Faaletino Tavana is in line to make a return to the NRL this week after training with the first grade side on Wednesday.

Tavana, who was named in jersey No.19, trained with the NRL squad on Wednesday in place of named winger Jeral Skelton.

Skelton was seen wearing the Tigers reserves jersey for their opposed session.

Young gun Heamasi Makasini was out of his moon boot and on the field with his teammates after injuring his foot against the Broncos.

Be interesting after Skelton was named to play if Tavana takes his spot, it makes you wonder if Skelton has one foot out the door.

WT were down a few troops during the past few wins as well, no Laui or May in the backline for a while there, always at least one outside back has been out.

If WT lose in a close game to the Sharks, I bet no one in the media mentions we are down on troops.
