TEAM LIST Team vs Storm [Round 10]

Team List
Despite not winning Melbourne look solid on paper, especially with Hughes slotting back in to replace Wishart. Home game, Bellamy situation, backs against the wall, Tigers weakened by injury. It all points
toward the Storm bouncing back and increasing our woes.
No Bula, Api and Douehi leaves big holes,
as I said last week imo I think it’s going to be another bad day for us.
Sorry all but I predict Storm 13+ ( but, as always, hope I’m wrong).
U forgot samula

I think Seyfarth has been really good for us this year and it's a credit to the way Benji has been using him. Comes on late and provides enough experience, punch and aggression to keep the momentum in our favour. He also provides versatility and experience in the forward pack if something unforeseen happens, although he's obviously less effective when he plays bigger minutes.
100 NRL games for Alex in magic round

The way to beat this Melbourne side

A better, more strategic kicking game than last week, kick for the corners, attack their left edge, watch Hughes & especially Grant around the ruck, have KPP or another tall player shadow Mason when Melbourne's put up bombs, run at Harry & Stefano all night to tire them out, our bigger boys can get offloads away as Grant usually tackles low.

Just on the kick chase, it used to be called the umbrella defence. Outside runners ( usually wingers) chase at speed whilst everyone inside moves up accordingly. Its aim is to condense the movement back towards the centre of the field and prevents getting burnt by speed men on the outside.
And the major proviso, it must be done in unison and make your tackles.
Easy eh !

Not that I am particularly agaisnt this approach Hal, but Faalogo loves a broken line and the umberalla defence provides the opposition with gaps toattack in both width and depth. If we do decide to emply this kick chase tactic we need to get it right or it could be embarassing.

It may be a bit “old school” J but with it, or the straight line, it needs everyone working together. Let’s watch and see how it pans out.
