Tony should have played against the top NRL team on Sunday, as he is at least an edge forward. I like what Benji is building, but playing a mediocre at best middle in Geyer there was baffling when Sukkar played 80 minutes in KOE.

Such a hopeless bench makes me think we haven't developed many players in NSW cup.

Zero depth. Absolutely pathetic for a pro league organisation in current year. Richo pointed this out in his first month at the club. What happened to fixing that?! We are that far behind, 20 players at least need to be added across 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade squads to even come up to average level depth the top teams have. The level from the starters to the fillers is embarrassing, fillers like Seyfarth are named every week in the top squad due to not enough NRL standard players in 1sts to begin with. Its hard to believe the club is spending more than 50% of its cap on these future concreters.
Can only hope that they are guys who can give us 15 or 20 mins of their best. They proved last week they can’t do much more than that for us at this point.
Experienced players need to be much better too.
Latu gets a starting opportunity this week. He needs to show a lot more regardless of the number on his back. Maybe if he has a break out game he might get more of an opportunity.

Hope I'm wrong but Latu is really bad at hooker. He gets tired really quickly then becomes very passive. Service is okay but he's no threat and it completely wipes his strengths. He barely keeps up with the game. I thought he'd be better at it but he's not. Hate this option.
Madden would probably be just as bad and the position would have a similar effect on him, but maybe the overall combination of Madden at 9, Latu 7 and Luai 6 works better than what I expect of the current listed team. Latu is a more dynamic runner and has more spark than Madden, while Madden is an organiser and distributor, so perhaps he would have more agency at 9 than what Latu has shown. Disappointing that Hope has been so poor, don't really see him as a viable option either.
Also wish Luai had that urge to step in and try to control the game a little more because that would take the pressure off our fill in players who are still playing dominant while Luai loiters and does the fancy circles out wide once in a while.
People complaining about the team, but I don't see many options. I get the temptation to blood the young ones like Haywood, but I think Benji is right to protect them.
