Flipside, technology has also created the opportunity for people to communicate about niche things they love (Wests Tigers for example) with like minded individuals, keep in contact with large amount of people and show interest in their lives (with far more than possible in person)
how kids play has changed, but that is not just technology. Society has changed, safety is more of an issue, both parents work now, and kids are often in after school care, they are often playing outside, but at a school centre. People are busier in general.
There is a lot more organised activities, I see kids riding bikes with their parents alot, and there is still loads of kids playing sport and stuff.
The world changes, and we like to look back nostalgically, but there is loads of things that are heaps better now.
