if he is running in a couple of weeks you would think he could be back before seasons end, right?

Great news,
Sounds like everything is going along smoothly

Certainly is great news and good to hear James is doing well Couldn't possibly see the club bringing him back in 2012

No way in the world. Running means a very light jog in a straight line under controlled conditions. It will be some months before his knee is strong enough to start sidestepping again. The positive side of this is that he will be raring to go for the pre-season next year and should be in for a good off-season.

OMG might have to ban yourself Willow? Sounds like a twinge of negativity in this post????? Don't rule him out till you see us watching finals from the sideline!!!!

He wasn't being negative that's just how this injury works. He's young and risking doing your acl twice in one season is a bit ridiculous. Good to hear he's back in the gym too he'll put on more size before 2013!

great news for the kid , and as much as he may even like to be back this year , cotton wool until jan2013 , put him in the gym with simon , he will get him fit and strong

Rush back and your take the path Campese is on. Knees cannot be rushed.

Yeah I'd be 😱pen_mouth: if we saw him this year - it's really not worth the risk to such a young promising talent. If he's fit and strong enough to do the full pre-season training that would more than enough.

Goodto hear he is making a speedy recovery….take his time it could be a blessing in discguise..... hewill come back bigger and stronger next season

That is very much a positive. A further year in which his body will develop. Silver lining and all that.

Nah, give him the full season to recover to ensure he is 100% for next year, couldn't imagine anything worse than a talented 19 YO making a premature comeback and damaging his ACL again. If he was to return again this year, he wouldn't be 100% …

It's called realism. If you know about the recovery time and process associated with a traditional knee reconstruction then you would realise he won't be back this season.
