Teddy

He is killing it in NSW Cup and can certainly break a tackle. Did anyone else have their heart in their mouth everytime he ran ? The way he steps and turns when he runs has me worried about that knee.
Moltzen is definitely watching over his shoulder and If Teddy plays another blinder next week he will force Potter's hand.

He can have Koroibetes spot for mine and share fb/wing with the guy who refuses to return kicks in anything resembling a straight line.

1\. Teddy
2\. Koro
3\. Ayshford
4\. Rowdy
5\. Nofo

Hoping we will see that this year & depending on centre performances, maybe even Brien.

In regards to Teddy's knee. He has actual recovered quite amazingly, I'm not too nervous about it at all. The confidence in the way he moves and the agility he produces on the field is far superior to even hint he had an injury.

I did notice he was out of position defense a few times….i kow this wont be popular with the amti moltzy go tedddy spiel....but i saw it.

ps...moltz saved two/three tries, teddy looked amazing in lower grade,i like them both.

It's pretty easy for moltzen to get into position to save tries because he dosent do anything else , therefore not using up any energy
Anyone that thinks moltzen is a better fullback than teddy has no idea
Teddy's time will come and i think potter is more likely waiting for teddy to be ready rather than waiting for moltzen to cement his spot

Probably something to do with running over 200 metres and backing up on each play.

Tedesco is doing extreamly well but Potter is probably looking to give him a couple of more games in NSW cup to get his match fitness, speed and confidence to where it used to be.

Moltzen has performed well and deserves to keep his spot. I hope Potter finds a spot for both of them in the long run.

Teddy is looking good, but he can improve further yet. He's certainly got some fancy footwork which helps, but while Moltzen is not tanking, let him keep building his confidence and form. I reckon we'll see him in FG mid-season if not a touch sooner.

looking forward to seeing him in 1st grade soon….
on the wing or @ fullback.
lets go!

performing in nsw cup in a team that won by 50 isnt really something to banging drums about..

On the other hand beating an ordinary NSW Cup side by only a few points isn't great either. And Teddy has been posting multiple tries for a few weeks in a row now.

Teddy looked excellent against Manly…but something about how he is running doesnt look right. Ive had a knee reco before and although you can run on it when healed, the flexibility isnt there for a while so you have to work on your stretching from head to toe for a long time. He looked quite stiff when running. He will need more time....His form was brilliant though!

Im a pro teddy guy but the statement is vry true he was found out for a few tries with his positional play.Good thing we have a dally m winning fullback as coach.Because teddys skill set is massive.

I would agree B&G. I wasn't sure if I was reading too much into it at the time but I did think that too. As good as he still looked running the ball and changing direction and everything he just didn't look completely unrestricted. Perhaps this is a mental thing or physical thing…who knows??

Hi Tigerpete,

You're definitely not reading too much into it…He was certainly restricted....

love how he follows the play.

Yep. As decent as Moltzen does this. Teddy is well ahead of Moltz in this area. He's more elusive on the ball and seems to have a better feel for where to be on the play. Got the characteristics of Billy Slater in many respects.
