Pretty quiet in the first half Macman , but came alive in the second half

Surprised they didn't go more to the right in attack

The Italians will suffer without a quality 7 , if Craig Gower was available at least he would take the better option more often

Feel like there is so much more of him we are yet to see.

Potters gonna groom him well

can't wait to watch his next game. Nov. 3 if anyone's wondering 4pm (GMT)

Also keep an eye out for koro. i had a hunch he had worked on his defence during his 1st injury and after some embarassing games like vs. Sharks (i think) but wasn't really able to display it before the facial fracture. 28th october 8pm (GMT)

His defence was very good, did not miss a tackle
Had more ball in 2nd half, 1 try, 1 try assist,
IMHO, the best player was Guerra, and the best forward LaFfranchi.
Santi is a tackle machine (30 TK, 6 MTK), he is a faster, stronger and younger version of Fulton.

yea, had a feeling we may have picked the wrong one out of lovett vs. santi. Not to say we chose to let santi go, he's not really a tigers junior so probably left for other reasons than money but still.

To me santi looks like he has that brilliant hindmarsh motor with the ability to be wherever the ball is in attack or defence for the whole 80 minutes.Lovett may have a bit of extra mongrel and hopefully that holds him in good stead for first grade.

Aiden Guerra is becoming a pretty consistent performer, I reckon he is close to the most underrated player in the comp.

Thought he was the best out there on the weekend, he was prob the best player in the field in the GF qualifier and played pretty well most weeks this year without ever getting any wraps.

He looks bigger and stronger than ever. His getting more confident ever game his only going to get better and we need to lock him up long term Now.
The pass he gave to Minichello was absolutely brilliant but that clown Klein called it forward. Even the biased Wales commentators said it was good. Mini seems to favor getting involved on the left side so Tedesco had limited chances plus the halves run the ball too much rather than just getting it out to the backs.
Still half the game is defence and that was solid and aggresive we could have done with a centre this year that did 15 tackles and missed none.

Italy's chances are better with teddy at fullback but it won't happen, would be interesting to see though

I am probably one of Teddy's biggest fans , but I'd have to disagree with you

Minichiello at the back is a real steadying influence for the Italians and at times he showed his experience

I'm also guessing the Italians get more out of playing both players that way rather than vice versa , don't think A.Minichiello would be as effective as a centre as Teddy is

And it is a great learning experience for him as well , it teaches him more about the defensive positioning of playing centre which will help him when trying to get the centres in position for different attacking options that he can see unfolding while playing fullback

Should've used the word dangerous instead.

Mini is no doubt safe as houses but teddy is a much more dangerous ball runner and probably equal ball player.

I've heard people suggest playing teds at 5/8 or halfback to get his hands on the ball more, how did the halves perform?

Halves imo were pretty bad

The amount of times they seemed to go left when they should of gone right and vice versa

I see Gower wasn't fit or injured ,retired whatever , but they are missing him and his organizing around the ruck

I understand what your saying Blake but potentially they get more as a team from playing Mini at fullback and Teddy at centre

teddy could slot in at 5/8, saw him put in a couple of nice ingoal kicks in the season when coming into the attacking line. especially if current 5/8 is bad. not sure what the situation is with the centres in the team, if they have no one else to replace teddy in the centres if he goes to 6 then obviously he should stay.
