Teddy's Try Savers

Interesting reading some stats about Teddy on the Tigers website re: our best performed youngsters for the year, he sits equal fifth in the league for try saves. Inglis has 21, Slater and Locke 20, Hoffman 16, with Teddy alongside Barba, Gordon and Minichiello on 15\. Admittedly he's probably had a lot more to do than those blokes with our shoddy defence, but it shows just how effective he's been this year as a last line. He's had a great season so far, and I can't wait to see him injury-free. He's got my vote for sure..

What stood out for me the most is straight after the Roosters dropped the ball, he could have just watched it and packed a scrum, but instead he decided to pick the ball up and run it back hard. He managed to draw a penalty.

These are the one-percenters which make a great player.

looks like his confidence has picked up big time last couple of weeks. Off season will do him wonders. He will put his knee injury ( mental) behind him for good. I hope he can fulfill his potential . We could build a deadly spine.

What a terrific talent.

That was one of the greatest try saves I'd ever seen. Just to have the thought to knock it out like that at the last second is actually phenomenal.

Interested to hear what some of his critics have to say after the last couple weeks

Was initially critical myself but I'm so very glad I was wrong. He's a fantastic player, very proud and glad to have him on our team

I'll go one better that was the best 1 handed try saver i have ever seen..

Teddy has taken his game to a new level over the past few weeks. That's the best try-saver I've seen and his support play just keeps getting better! He did bomb a try with that dodgey/early pass to brooks in the first half but he's got my vote for fb.

Yep his baggers should be eating some humble pie.

He played well today except for the terrible pass to Brooks when he made he break.

Yep I'm eating it right now. I've been a critic and I'm happy to say I was completely wrong. He played great.

I've been a critic but mainly stating that he needs to be a gun playing at fullback because it is a key position. I think you can have a role player at centre and maybe the backrow but not at fullback.

The thing is that I really want him to turn into a gun player and I think he can. Today for instance he busted the line but passed too early. He shouldn't do that. He needs to improve. In saying that I think he could be a long term option at fullback and I haven't thought we have had that since Hodgson left.
