Tedesco injury

Rankin at FB for mine - played pretty well on Thursday night when moved there I thought. Moses back to 5/8 and JAC on the wing.

Minimum of changes is the way to go imo.

Rankin will more than likely go to fullback. The other alternative is Justin Hunt who has returned strongly from injury in State Cup.

Hunt was a standout in State Cup from FB today…safe at the back..had a hand in 3 tries...ran the ball back with vigour...

didn't Tiger Torch mention Rankin's continued inclusion was part of a contingency plan for Tedesco's unavailability during origin? Makes sense he'll go there.

Silver lining - the bye next week and the origin period mean he'll miss less games than he otherwise would.
I imagine we'll get a timeframe in the next few days.

Hot inside info - he was in a sling last night. Here to help.

Moses needs to go fullback, we will miss teds creativity.

Moses's defence is not good enough for FB
You've seen the tries saved by Teddy this year alone
He'd try, but he'd have little chance out on his own

Quite right, fullback is primarily a defensive role with the freedom to pop up anywhere in attack. Putting Moses in a position where he has to make a lot of one on one tackles would just leak points. He's officially the smallest man in the NRL at 80kg. Goes hard, but a heavier player with momentum will bump him off.

Poor Teddy. JT should've taken him off as soon as it happened.
We'll miss him. :frowning:

Of course he shouldve

No doubt it worsened because of this

You do not know that foreshore.

Why would you even risk him, he's far and away the best player we have, crazy

I meant you do not know if he aggravated the injury when he played on.

Is Gary Jack or Andrew Leeds available?

Two words will fix this
Brett Hodgson. :master:
Seriously though all the best to Teddy for a thorough recovery.
Don't rush him back too soon.

I know what you mean , and agree that me may or may no made it worse by playing on,
What I'm saying is that there is an argument for not taking any chances with him when he is really the one attacking weapon that we have. I don't mean he should be wrapped in cotton wool, but if there's any doubt don't risk him

You can tell from the way he comes out of a tackle at around the 35min mark that he aggravated it.

That may have just been pain…I dont see how anyone could tell, even a doctor, without examining him at specific times...if it was aggravated at any stage
This really is silly, theres no one to blame here, injury is part and parcel of the game

Gee Taylor must be an amazing doctor to diagnose a fractured shoulder from 200 metres.

If you took a player off every time they got a burner you would use all your interchange by the 15th min mark.

Awesome news, due back in round 12-14!

Expected a longer stint out, isn't this even before Origin?
