Listening to Potter I reckon we have offered him a packet. If he doesn't sign so be it but I get the impression the club has done the right thing.

low 300's is not a packet ,

There is a massive offer from raiders , but he wants to stay at tigers and so he is waiting for tigers to come up to market value

If he was just chasing $$$ then there wouldn't be a photo in the paper it would be a story saying tedesco signed with canberra

If we loose him Mayer will need to be held responsible , especially if he is conning everyone into thinking they have made a huge offer when it's not true

He will take a lot less than the raiders deal to stay at tigers , but tigers won't budge and insist on offering way below market value

They are going to give him no choice but to take the massive offer

And to think with all this he STILL wants to stay a Tiger

And how many of this Forum have called him greedy and selfish

If he signs with the Tigers I hope a few on here have the guts to apologize for their comments , but I doubt it

One question people haven't asked, and I certainly don't know the answer, but how much can we afford to pay Tedesco to stay under the salary cap? The Raiders may be able to afford $550k per season, but what if we can only afford to pay him $350k? Bit hard to lay the blame at Mayer if this is the case. Different story if we can afford to pay $500k (not saying we should though) and he walks.

Happy and Irvine are so belligerent about how hard done by poor old Jimmy is by the club…if that's how Tedesco feels, I actually want him to leave. Don't mind him negotiating for money, but being a sook about it all like he's a 150 game veteran is a bit rich.

How in hell is he being a sook ??

He's been offered $550 k to leave and the Tigers have offered a little over 300 k

If he was being a sook he would of told us to take this offer and shove it

But he hasn't , he is still weighing it up

If you think I'm being belligerent about all this , stop sending me PM's asking me about it

So when you sent me a message about 6 weeks ago, and I replied and asked NO questions, and you replied with a thesis length message, and I replied again with NO questions and now never messaged you again…what do you want me to stop doing? Should I just keep not sending you messages?

If he signs he signs, if he doesn't then he doesn't and thats ok. We are making him the best offer we think we should for our cap and our club. He is a class player but he also comes with risks of injuries and inexperience. We have other options in the case of Rowe who is getting better and better, SImona and Nofoaluma could also be options next year. Yes Rowe may not be as good but he wouldn't be as expensive either. If we pay Tedesco an extra 100k or 200k then we loose mayby Simona the year after or Gavet and Ava so its not just a matter of keeping hi,m at all costs

The truth is coming out…haha Happy wont be happy...but he trys hard

If you are referring to my last post , I meant the Forum members not Tedesco

He still wants to stay , The Tigers still need to find the last piece in the puzzle to sort this all out

I suggest you two cut this nonsense out and stop getting personal with one another.

Well from your comments it appears you don't listen to whatever I say , so it just appears that we are wasting each others time

No, the process is just tedious. I'm over it. I don't think he's good enough yet to warrant all this fuss. He may get there. He may not. Eddie has pointed out he's played 20 of about 70 games he's been eligible for, with 3 different injuries. That's a bit of a worry.

I don't think he's being greedy for looking around, but I understand why people are disappointed and feel that way. I also think that some posters here are a little bit "poor james" about it all, the tigers are using the loyalty card against "poor james". We'll be fine without him, and he'll be fine without us.

At the end of the day fullbacks don't win premierships alone, they just don't. Look at how many good fullbacks there are in the competition.

I think $320 odd thousand is a decent offer for a 25 game player, the club can't afford to pay overs to keep everyone,he has had months too sort this, and Sirro and Noffo have been signed in the meantime,in no hassle deals.
He has most likely missed the boat on a bigger offer from us,and he can probably blame his manager for that,I hope he stays but if he wants huge doe and a cold climate with a useless coach, head to the capital now.

Well Robbie Farah and Benji Marshall took pay cuts when they started there careers and look at it now Robbie Farah is earning 850 k if you wait in a few years time when his contract is up he will get more money just re sign and be part of the great future we have at the tigers and he will win a few premierships in the next few years im still confident he will stay and end up being a tiger for long term.

Hypocrites, if you were in his position no one would consider "loyalty". Your league career doesn't last forever and he will be looking for the best deal possible. I wouldn't blame him for taking the extra 800k over 4 years. That can buy the kid a house, give him a break, it is up to him and no I wouldn't be filthy at him even if he signed with Raiders although he is my favorite player and would love for him to stay.

Timmy B quote "No, the process is just tedious. I'm over it. I don't think he's good enough yet to warrant all this fuss. "

Tedious to whom exactly? I'm sure that Tedesco finds it tedious and probably emotionally draining as well. Any of you vultures ever been offered massive dollars to shift away from your mates??

What fuss? The only fuss is on this forum. Vultures squabbling (in ignorance) over a not yet dead carcass.

Anybody here considered the thought that James Tedesco in his final weigh up of all factors, might decide to read the WT Forum to see what the fans think? With friends like us…………?

1) Vultures? So unnecessary and over the top.
2) Every sporting team in every sporting code in the world have fans who would react in this manner. He'd be foolish to take it personally, and I doubt he would. If he leaves the fans of the club he moved to would have no shortage with of players they have a grudge against. Ask Raiders fans how they feel about Dugan, Ferguson, and Carney. Sport is a fickle industry. I really doubt he'll be making any decisions based on a football forum. That'd be bizarre.
3) I'm sure it's unbelievably emotionally draining for Tedesco. I watched my best mate deliberate for two weeks over whether to move firms for a $30k grand pay rise but thereby radically shift his work life balance and corral his future career path. It destroyed him. I can't imagine what it's like when the figures are even bigger. It must be horrible for Tedesco. Nonetheless, I was clearly talking about myself in that post as you well know. I'm over waiting to hear about it. Is that ok with you?

I'm not sure why people are so keen on telling others how they should feel about him looking around etc. Surely everyone is entitled to feel exactly how they feel about it all?
