There are a lot of things for teddy to consider. Our club is currently a basket case- even if he does get signed to a big contract, the financial aspect of our club is not in the best state.
We don't even know who our coach will be next year tbh. Our facilities are said to be one of the worst in the NRL.
Those things will be considered by teddy and his management before a decision is made. It's easy to say he dogged the club for money or even lesser money when he knows he won't be able to reach his potential at this club.
Every player wants to be part of a winning culture and our club doesn't have much guarantee in that department.

No this is not speculation, i happen to know someone who's in charge at the Bulldogs (obviously not going to name names) and take it as fact that there after a fullback. Not sure about the whole Hiku thing, but they are interested in Teddy. I really couldn't care less if you believe me or not i'm just telling you what iv'e heard from a very credible source. Take of it what you want..

Dogs were shopping players around to make the Fifita deal, and were willing to shop off a prop to get it done, noise was Kasiano was among them, with Fifita falling through the Dogs may choose to opt to extend him now, plus Hiku, Im not sure they would still be in the race…
There is no way tedesco will be waiting for hiku a second string player for manly to make a decision on his future. if it was this straight forward tedesco would have signed by know, something has happened for sure.
the longer this drags out the less likely he will sign because he would of signed if he was happy with our offer by know. I just wish the club could some how inform the members so we could at least chuck in funds to keep him. There are wealthy members out there like myself who could help if we knew what help was needed

Fifita contract saga seems a bit sus to me. I wonder if what he said was really enough to get a contract ripped up? I'm hoping that they had buyers remorse or some pressure from the NRL with his TPA and they took that of hand comment and used it as an excuse to back out…all speculation. I just know a few dog fans who are genuinely pissed he's not coming. They saw it as a real "get" to lure him from the sharks.
If there is any base to it than hopefully they don't have the legitimate cash and now can't throw millions at tedesco.

i never said they had officially signed him, or his going for sure or anything of that nature. I simply asked someone in the know about the speculation, got an answer and thought it would be helpful to post some useful information in light of the contradicting media speculation. I find it funny how everyone continually posts about being sick of the speculation and inuendo, wanting some answers ; however as soon as someone attempts to give some information they immediately get show down and called a lier. Have you ever thought about the fact that the "people on the inside" risk losing their jobs when giving out information and therefore don't want their names mentioned. Just a thought
