I'm honestly amazed and shocked at why people are angry with James over

1/ How long it is taking and

2/ Why he shouldn't get as much as he can

He entitled to both and he sure as hell doesn't answer to any of us when he wakes and looks in the mirror every morning

Maybe youre not as much of a supporter as you thought you were

Im not at all surpprised people are gettiong pissed off with him

People give loyalty to the club, it bites a little when they see it not returned

The hate towards him has been a little over the top imo. Some of the things people have said have been very petulant and fickle. Almost like the same people who want him sacrificed like a virgin will be the same ones who will be calling him the Messiah the moments he re-signs.

That pic though doesn't paint him in a positive light. I'm getting the Ben Teo vibe from him lately.

I havent seen a sacrifice mentioned anywhere…virginal or otherwise.

Over the top you say?

Myself, whether he stays or goes is neither here nor there, of course I prefer he stayed. Its the way the whole things been handled that doesnt sit well and here we all are talking about him, he who wont be playing, on the eve of the clubs biggest game of the season thus far...as I mentioned earlier he's undoing a lot of good work the clubs put into tomorrows game, and dont kid yourself they didnt know the photographer would be there....players CAN and do - all the time - manage to negotiate contracts wthout it turning into a media circus

I don't understand that comments on him taking so long to sign to being HATE ..I think the common thread is if you want to gouge unrealistic money from the club for bench warming and never being on the paddock with limited experience and parading yourself around varying clubs that will pay overs well good luck with all of that ,supporters do not see this type of thing in a good light ,not a good look that photo on a big weekend for the club.

Potter said this morning that the club has tabled a ''massive'' offer for him over 4 yrs, so they're obviously doing all they can. If he leaves i won't blame them.

I find it hard to offer top, top dollar to a player that has played a grand total of about 20 games out of his last 70 odd. Ok he looked fantastic earlier in the season, but then an inevitable injury with his high pressure, jinking running style. Since then we are 3 from 5, sky has not fallen in. Of those 5 games, 2 of the he failed to finish. So really he managed 3 games so far this year. 15 odd on one leg last year and 1 game the year before.

I back the club here. Don't let him and his manager hold the club to ransom. Call his bluff, if he really wants more cash then we can offer for a bloke that has played 20 games in 3 years so be it. Bye Bye.,

Agreed with Ink and Eddie here.

Supporters are naturally upset. People invest a lot of emotional energy in supporting their football club. I'd say most of us tragics think of the club several times a day. When we hear a player is a chance of leaving we naturally feel miffed. It might be irrational, it might not be fair, but it's how we feel. I don't think other posters need to come on here and defend Tedesco and explain how he's allowed to make this decision et al. Deep down everyone knows that.

At the end of the day people are a bit pissed off because Tedesco is not making the sort of noises that mitigate the disappointment. If he was out there saying "I grew up playing for the club, and I love it here. At this stage the offer is not where it needs to be so I'm exploring other options, but I will listen to anything they offer because my first choice will always be to stay here" I suspect people would feel a bit better about it. At least I know I would. Instead it's this smoke and mirrors bullshit they Ayoub is known for.

Secondly, there is no way in hell we should be matching Canberra's offer. In any employment arrangement there are monetary and non-monetary incentives.

We have over Canberra
1) Tedesco's bonds with his teammates and the fact that he is enmeshed in the club already.
2) We are a club with an extremely strong roster. Canberra has a perenially strong youth system but still seem several years away from that crystallising into anything, particularly with Ricky Stuart at the helm.
3) Canberra is a Canberra. I don't hate the place but all things being equal I'd prefer to live in Sydney.

These are real benefits that will factor into any decision. They'll need to offer him 700k. Anything over 450k and we have to let him go.

Like most people on here, I hope Tedesco stays, but an equally important resigning is Gavet, he and Tapau have provided the impact that Tigers forwards have been short of for years.
Tedesco should be given a deadline to sign, if he doesnt, we have to move on and wish him well
wherever he goes

Wests Tigers are entitled to know within a reasonable time frame what his plans are so that if he decides to join another team Wests Tigers have time to chase an equivalent player for the 2015 season. However the club appears to be held to ransom while he takes months to make up his mind. If there is going to be a loser in this saga it looks like Wests Tigers who will certainly miss the boat on signing a decent replacement player.

Personally I think that Tedesco is being completely used by his manager Ayoub who is mainly only concerned about the extra commission for himself. Tedesco will need to override Ayoub and show that he is his own man.

Is that the same massive offer that hasn't been upped since last time we spoke

I am pretty sure he has said those things..not in those words but he has made it abundantly clear that his number one choice is to stay.
I have never heard him so anything else but that he wants to stay at the Wests Tigers.

If we can let Marshall walk, we can let Teddy walk. No disrespect to him, he actually seems like a really nice guy but the club is bigger than the individual players. I remember a quote from The Fonz, "a player is not a first grader until he has played 50 first grade games". The fact is, Teddy has not played half the amount of games yet but appears to be demanding a salary of an orgin player. He needs to earn his stripes first.

It is not the end of the world, the club will find another player. I also think Rowe will be a much better player next year after the experience he has gained this year, much like how Nofa and Simona are better players now after being blooded last year.

If he wants to stay at Wests Tigers then what is the problem other than he thinks the club is offering him peanuts?

Why would we offer more happy? He is worth what we are willing and able to pay him. If others are willing to offer more so be it….but doesn't necessarily mean he is worth it.

Im pretty sure most of the players that just re signed took pay cuts because they know we are building a gun side plus after the 4 years were likely going to re sign him on a bigger contract.

Happy and Irvine are so belligerent about how hard done by poor old Jimmy is by the club…if that's how Tedesco feels, I actually want him to leave. Don't mind him negotiating for money, but being a sook about it all like he's a 150 game veteran is a bit rich.
