Tedesco V Dugan

Dugan isn't in a good way I'd suggest

He was shaking hands with his other arm at the end of the game

Ohh He was injured, I thought that was just some crazy way they all shook hands in NSW .

Go Queensland

Dugan is a bigger body and doesn't get dominated in tackles as much as Teddy. That's about the only thing he has going for him. Other then that Teddy is the superior in pretty much every other facet.

Dugan is a very good player but this is pretty accurate in my opinion.

I think Inglis is similar to Dugan in that he is a huge fullback. I think Tedesco is probably more Slater like.

I think Tedesco has to be considered at that level though. He is some player.

Imo they both need to be there. Maybe
1 James Tedesco
2 Josh Dugan
3 Michael Jennings
4 Blake Ferguson
5 Brett Morris
6 Blake Austin

That is a better backline but I think the other Morris deserves to be there as well. I think I'd pick between Dugan and Tedesco.

You can't possibly rate Dugan on the back of that

You NSW blokes would eat your own babies I reckon

Depends on how hungry we get…..at the moment...we are famished !!!

Here baby baby,here baby baby.... :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Tedesco wouldn't have fared any better tonight, imo.

I disagree flip.

Dugan can't pass the ball and it cost us a big chance one time early in the first half. Teddy ability to pass would have been us expose them a little when all Dugan did was run.

I rate Dugan and if I was picking the team he would have been my fullback, so no complaints he was there. But hindsight is a wonderful thing and its now clear they need a tough fullback who can ball play as well.

Drop Josh Morris Foreveratiger? ?? Last few years he has proved to be one of the best origin centre's of all time, and that's playing on his least favorite side on the right. He has owned Inglis for years at this level. First player picked IMO

Yeah i agree with you , i just personally think Blake Ferguson is made for Origin and in my opinion is better than Morris . Defensively Ferguson wouldn't have a problem and is more of an attacking weapon than Morris.
That is what we lack attacking weapons like like Hayne , Teddy , Ferguson , maybe even Austin ?

Tedesco is a great ballplayer at the back and I think he'd be the key to unlocking our good outside backs.

1\. Tedesco
2\. Jennings
3\. Dugan
4\. J Moz
5\. B Moz

Surely Jenko can play wing?

Dugan was alright. Replace Hoppa with Tedesco and you are heading in the right direction. You need a bit of threat on your wing.

Dugan has got the name. Tedesco has got the game. Such is life, or actually the NRL where name carries a lot more weight than performance compared to any other sport.

Bollocks
If anything Duge's name is still mud

Yep,Ted needs to demonstrate safety under the high ball, and robustness to recover from big hits(which he is progressively doing this season).
Dugan has both qualities, though not as electric in attack as Ted.Was our best last nite IMO.
Ferguson will walk into the team next year instead of Hopoate who was picked on form 3 years ago,Pearce showed yet again that hes not up to SOO,and Hodkinson not much better. You mite see Reynolds and Austin in the halves next year if they continue to improve..weve tried everyone else!
Forwards deserve another chance..just ambushed and over-awed.Jackson and Cordner offer nothing off the bench..theyre 80 min players who lack impact off the bench.
It was a matter of time before some of Daleys ridiculous selections were exposed

Dugan struggled after that massive hit chasing that kick with Inglis

He showed a lot of guts , and amazed he was still standing after that

Yeah I think Dugan is a good fit for Origin, he definitely is up for the challenge. Can't say the same for the Morris boys, they don't consistently play hard enough and can go missing.

If Teddy keeps his form they might have to fit both in like Qld do with Slater/GI.

I think by next year Tedesco will be in the mix for sure.

I think Teddy is a better player than Dugan, but I dont like Dugan and Teddy is a Tiger. Probably not a completely objective view.

Teddy is destined for the arena. I'd like to see him given more time to get his body battle hardened and work on high balls, his only weakness, then he'll be a stalwart. I'd leave him out of 2016 unless injuries force their hand.

From 2017 on he'll be NSW and Kangaroos fullback if managed correctly.

Put Teddy in a Top 8 - Hell, Top 4 team and then we will se his true worth…

I've said it more than once, I wouldn't swap him for any player in the Comp (Well, Maybe JT... Maybe!!)

Teddy has played at the back of a poorly coached, Badly beaten team his whole career...
Yet he has Massive, Massive wraps already...
If he'd played at the Roosters, Dogs or Manly for the last 3 years - He'd be there already - And some....

I'd prefer him to wait as well and he does need some work on the high balls.

He is though a special player. I always thought Hodgo was a great fullback but Tedesco is up there with Slater and co at this point.

I dont really know how youd do this given he probably has rarely played in this position ,but I reckon ted wld make a great SOO centre with his Jennings like acceleration and solid defence..and no high balls to fetch
