Tedesco

I DESPISE IT!!!
As usual, a cranky response.
Think outside your anger S. I didn’t realise there was such hatred for Teddy on here, I would think the Aussie captain could always add something to our pedestrian attack.
Im reading about us chasing Johnson, Hunt , Moses etc why is Teddy so different.
Coz he left for a better life , and did us wrong.
I would certainly welcome him back , forgive and forget .

And they'll pick Luai over Hynes.
Madness.

Go Queensland 🔴🔴
Even worse - they are talking about NSW bringing back Tyson Frizell....

Great player at his peak - but just a quality first grader now....

And I'll bet they still pick the likes of Angus Crichton on past form - ahead of Hudson Young and Haumole who are smashing the soor down.

Freddie has gone full Laurie - playing favourites and just going back to pick blokes who "did it in the past" - nevermind that he only holds a 3-2 record - including losing the post-season COVID Origin to a side with the likes of borderline reggie Brenko Lee (who has hardly played NRL since)!

A win this series guarantees an extension for Freddie (4 series wins from 6 - a 66.7% win ratio is enough to trigger this extension. A very favourable KPI for Freddie & co.)

I was a massive admirer of Freddie as someone who played against him at Schoolboy carnivals - including weeks before his First grade debut in 1989 - and over his career I rate him higher than Andrew Johns as a player and captain.

But he has got into that comfortable media zone with Channel 9 and personal sponsors paying 95% of his income) with the NSW coaching gig being just more icing on top!

I'd sooner give Des a go!!

Dumbest suggestion EVER!!!

We have just found our long-term fullback (and a bloke who is a better human being + a more natural footy player than Teddy ever was)!!

But you want this disloyal mutt on one leg taking up cap space with no commitment or heart to offer??

Is it purely for nostalgia - he would not strengthen our team!

Watch the fricking game!!!

He has been terrible all year - his form reflects a combination of age slowing him down + the same sort of non-commitment to the team that characterised most of his efforts at the Tigers when he had his passage to Easts booked!!

Credit to Easts who made him a rep footy player - he was a talented but inconsistent and defensively slack player at the Tigers until the Roosters made clear what was expected of him!

He is now back in dinner suit mode - and Easts have his massive salary to anchor them down for the next three years - which is poetic!

If he captains NSW this season (which he will) - I'm all in on Qld!!

Very happy to put my money where my mouth is!
I agree he wouldn’t make our side any better now. He would have the last 2 seasons but he’d be only blocking Bula now.

There were rumblings before suali signed with Rugby about teddys future which I find interesting. It does seem like he’s on the decline and rosters know it too.

Sorry mate but stuff him

His time is up let him rot and be a burden on rorters cap

Oh wait is that possible? Lol
I think it’s definitely time for me to file this thread, given the response.
I didn’t think it was such a silly idea but it appears I’ve been well and truly TOLD.
Teddy who ???🤣🤣
Next subject..,,,,

Because he's playing like a bloke who just signed his guaranteed retirement planning and has no real interest in putting in effort unless there is personal glory!!

His family have always had him & his siblings financially set up for life - so he has always lacked a hard edge which less priveleged players have!

Same self-entitled parents who called out the Ryan James for breaking their little boy's jaw - saying "people come to watch our son James - not..."

If it was an act of thuggery I would not blame them - this was just poor timing from a player who was never known as a dirty player!

I see the same sort of self-preservation that I regularly saw in his defence for the Tigers and Italy when playing for underdog teams!!

I see the guy yelling "SQUID GAME" at young Australian-Korean women (much younger than him) at Bondi with his footy mates - Easts then covering it up via an internal investigation that did not even include engaging the victim for her statemenmt - and the NRL finally taking action to FINE the NSW & AUSTRALIAN CAPTAIN (of Italian descent) for ANTI-ASIAN RACIST GARBAGE that he could no longer deny!!

He's a dumb - arrogant horse-mouthed prick - and I'd rather see 90% of the NRL playing group in Tigers colours ahead of JAMES TEDESCO!!

Sorry Hal, I agree with the others.
If he came back here it would be a terrible recruitment decision.
As a person, he is by far my least favourite Australian captain and a low level piece of shit racist.
Fck him to the moon.

Quietly confident, as a Queenslander.

"Roosters players are set to be interviewed by the NRL Integrity Unit over an alleged incident involving club captain James Tedesco in Bondi last week.

The Roosters defended Tedesco on Monday after investigating a woman’s claim he yelled “squid games” at her outside a pub in the early hours of Thursday morning.

Tiffany Trinh, who is of Vietnamese descent, is the woman at the centre of the alleged incident.

Squid games is a reference to the popular Korean Netflix series and Trinh told the Sydney Morning Herald she felt the incident was a “joke about her race”

The Roosters cleared Tedesco of any wrongdoing, but now the NRL is investigating and will be speaking to witnesses - including teammates who were there.

Trinh claims Tedesco approached while she was outside the Beach Road Hotel with a friend waiting for a lift home and said “squid games” to her before laughing with his group."

"
James Tedesco has apologised for the “Squid Games” incident, saying he expects more of himself as a role model and captain.

The Roosters and NSW captain was fined $10,000 for behaving “in a drunken and disorderly manner” and bringing the game into disrepute after an investigation into claims he shouted “Squid Games” at a 20-year-old woman outside the Beach Road Hotel last October.

James Tedesco speaks to Channel Nine ahead of the Roosters season opener next week.

The sanction was handed down after Tiffany Trinh, who is of Vietnamese descent, made an official complaint to the NRL’s integrity unit.

Speaking for the first time about the incident, Tedesco said he had reached out to Trinh to apologise.

“It was disappointing obviously, as a leader and role model of the game,” Tedesco said. “It was very disappointing for myself. The way I handled it, I spoke to who was affected and owned up to it.

“I was obviously disappointed but happy with how I approached it all, and I’m happy how it was all sort of settled. It was more about owning up to that and taking responsibility.

ed. AFTER THE ROOSTERS TRIED TO COVER-UP AND YOU DUCKED IT - PHUCKING PUNK ARSE [This word has been automatically removed]!!

“Even in our pre-season we’ve talked about how we want to be role models. I know I’m a great role model but I know I can improve because I don’t want to have any stuff-ups or wrongdoing towards our club.”

Tedesco said he had to be mindful about his actions when he was out in public.

“It’s just awareness. Even going out my whole career, people are, not out to get you but sometimes it’s hard to hold in your frustrations with people on the piss and getting into you.

ed. IT'S SO FRUSTRATING BEING A RICH WANNABE ROLE MODEL THAT I JUST NEED TO BLOW OFf SOME STEAM WITH RANDOM RACIST ABUSE TO YOUNG WOMEN

Tedesco, who is particularly close to youngsters Joseph Suaalii and Sam Walker, said he was cognisant of leading by example.

“It’s all about being responsible and I can give them a lot of learnings from what I’ve learnt over my career,” he said. “Especially in Bondi as well, in the east, there’s always trouble with people around and that’s where everyone wants to go out. You have to be careful.

“The culture at the club is really good. We’ve had a few little stuff-ups here and there, but overall as a club our culture is very responsible. It feels like it’s changed over the years; whereas back in the day - and we’ve talked about it openly - the Roosters culture externally, it probably didn’t have a good reputation.

“Especially now as captain, I’ve got to lead that.”

People complained about signing players like bateman and klemmer because they are around 30 but want a guy who's the same age but is already slowing down, Why to play him in either a spot where we've got a player(bula) or a position he's never played and isn't suited for(5/8)

“If I’m out having drinks I’ve got to be aware and be responsible. Even being the captain, you’re not a young kid anymore, you can’t just go out and have beers all the time with the younger boys.

“I’m engaged now, and I want to start a family. I feel like I’ve taken that step forward, and I’m really excited about my life personally for the future.

“I’m mature now. As a captain, I’ve got to be the guy who goes out and looks after the boys. I’ve got to set a good example for them.”

The Asian girl is one issue I agree with you on Ok, but just to clarify because you obviously can’t let it go, I watch and have watched Tiger games since before you were born so no need to comment on that, and that takes care of the historical aspect as well.
I have admired Tedesco, as a footballer, both in his time at the Tigers, and after. And just fyi I happened to be at LO, standing directly in line with the James incident, the day that it occurred.
And my take directly after it happened was it was intentional ! But that’s my opinion and if you badger and bully some more then you can shout me down.
We are both passionate Tiger fans but all your dialogue will not make me feel that you are right and I am wrong.
I’ll let you have the last word as I’m sure you’ll come vack with more bluff and bluster.
Good evening.

Then why are we talking about Johnson and Hunt as well, same principle but I’m referring to the current Australian captain, not some hack.
