Ten year members dinner

What was the go with it? Anyone from the club talk or anything? Free grog?

Go talked, usual stuff, Praised Cleary and his recruitment for this year and next, welcomed MWZ and Tui who were there, hinted more recruits to come, suggested we dont believe the DT several times when touching on the agenda recently against us
Some bloke interviewed a few players, Liddle, Tui & MWZ…usual stuff, Brooks MCK & Edwards were there too
Tui said Sulis innocent quiet appearance is all a front and hes the exact opposite
Pascoe & Cleary not there
Plenty free grog, no one got outta line
It was a nice gesture from the club, they didnt promote it, was emailed invite...I imagine they will do something similar each year
They took a group photo of us on the field bfore dinner, might be something on the website

well done to the club and well done to the members who have endured 10 years or more of crap and still contribute dollars to the club.

Yeah another good initiative from the club. A few months ago people were all up in arms about The Board and CEO, after JT was sacked, labelled by everyone as a basket-case.

Now we've got an experienced and respected coach who has been allowed to do his thing for a few months, major shake ups and arguably improvements in the roster. Memberships are up, club now hosts this dinner, puts up a 60-minute Q&A, the media has gone fairly silent on our "issues", guys like Frothfield and Pooper have hardly anything to say now the mMoses/Woods/Turdesco nonsense is behind us.

Is this the start of what it feels like to have a properly run club? What we need now is the results to come. But IMO we are moving up the comp in terms of stability, passing clubs like Canterbury who have always touted stability as one of their strengths.

If we get the funding for the new COE, then I hope people start applauding the board. They've done well to grit their teeth through the dramas and set up some more solid foundations for the club.
