Maybe we need the Bunnies accountant 👍I think 700k - 800k tops is his true value, but he seems to be money focused and I’d say he’s looking for 900k based on Kalomatangi getting 1 million.
If we offer him 700k to 80@k and he refuses it, we will have no option other than to go as high as 900k if that is what he is asking as we certainly can’t afford to lose him.
Ideally I would like to see him reproduce his peak 2025 form early this season before wr commit to a marquee value contract.
It certainly makes our salary cap become very tight when factoring in what will likely also be a big upgrade and extension for Makasini who we simply must keep.

You would like to think Terrell would extend with us for 800k to allow is to have a good team around him.Broncos are tabling Barnett around $750k. He’s older and coming off an ACL. But they’re probably similar in ability for numbers. $750-$850 tops. Higher end for a struggling side.
May is probably in that third tier front rower argument.
Hey Vish.@Kelce68 you would have more access to confirm this than I or many other supporters have, but my understanding is that Benji wants and has been given permission to make all our recruitment and retention decisions in consultation with Shannon Gsllant and then simply passes the information on to Shaun Mielekamp to get it sealed and delivered.
I actually dug a bit further in this and asked “So if Benji wants to sign a player at a certain value limit, but that player will not budge and wants slightly or much higher, who makes the end decision ?”
I was told Benji sets the minimum and maximum amount we are willing to pay.

If we start paying everyone 50-100k more just to keep them happy, we will not have enough cap soace to have an all round quality team.
Yeah I think we could possibly get Terrell and Taylan to extend at a reasonable cost if we sign Tyrone. If we are smart we would look at a longer contract length, doing an extension of his Brother and look to bring his other brother across as part of the agreement then we should be able to have $$ be very favorable to us as a cap hold.
We shouldn’t be paying overs just because especially for someone who wants to stay.
Shaun said in a recent podcast he is still GM of Football while he is Interim CEO.Hey Vish.
I'm not privy to any specifics around that stuff.
I would assume that Benji would be at arm's length regarding cap specifics and finer contract details, being that he isn't accountable to the financial KPI's of the club or cap, but he would be in the process other than that up to his eyeballs I'd imagine, along with the likes of Shannon re; recruitment/retention targets.
Given Mielekamp was recently the Head of Football before he was bumped up to CEO, I'd say he'd be the key player in terms of numbers.
I agree if we can package the brothers together we might get them for less. I think Taylan May could be pushing for origin this year (if injuries happen to latrell or Best)I agree if we can package the brothers together we might get them for less. Something like:
Terrell 800k
Taylan 650k
Tyrone 250k
Would be good business. If Taylan has the start to the year I suspect he will have, his value may be be up closer to the 700-800k mark.
It'll be a good opportunity to bolster the admin leadership team there if they can get the right person in that role.Shaun said in a recent podcast he is still GM of Football while he is Interim CEO.
If he is made permanent CEO after his 'probation' period of however long, then fair chance we appoint someone into the HOF role at that time. Surely!
lol it'll only be someone Benji respects & trusts which limits the options. It'll be a good opportunity to bolster the admin leadership team there if they can get the right person in that role.
Would be nice for us to finally have a HOF who knows the game inside and out.
When is Gus' tenure up?...... haha
I am hoping the same. If he is in the conversation it means we are going ok. Think he is probably comparable to Best on his day, can't remember what side Best plays thoughI think Taylan May could be pushing for origin this year (if injuries happen to latrell or Best)
we would be good to get him under 750k
Best plays on the left at the Knights.I am hoping the same. If he is in the conversation it means we are going ok. Think he is probably comparable to Best on his day, can't remember what side Best plays though
I wonder if this will be brought up at the AGM in a fortnite?Shaun said in a recent podcast he is still GM of Football while he is Interim CEO.

Without a doubt he is. Which is why I'm a tad concerned. I personally think our most important signature is Terrell. He has said that he would jump ship to R360 if the opportunity presented itself, whilst also saying he is loyal. You genuinely don't think the CEO is consistently and constantly multitasking as is?
Yep either talks have stalled or the talks have not had an impact and the player has disrespected the heirachy by publically saying they have stalled when they haven’t.Without a doubt he is. If I'm the interim CEO, I'm extending Terrell asap. Terrell suggests that Shaun hasn't even reached out.
Each to their own
He's back! Great that he took the pre season off the media to recharge. Had a great game on Saturday, so it was all worth it. He seems like a wise man (although I have heard him say some dumb things on his podcast).
