OFFICIAL Terrell May #296

This is a really big deal. To lock in a top level prop and get a strike centre (a position we were weak in) as a bonus. If we kick on to a finals playing team in the next few seasons we’ll be looking back on this as a big plank.

I don’t think May’s impact on the club can be underestimated. Yes he produces big numbers but I don’t think it’s a coincidence Twal and Pole have improved significantly since his arrival. Sure there are other factors and these things are tricky to measure but Twal has gone from lovable plodder to an offloading metre eater. It’s hard to not to think the standards he sets aren’t rubbing off on others.

So yeah happy days. Luai was a slight disappointment but one that ultimately may work for us in the long run. Losing the two Mays would have set us back big time.

Sources with knowledge of his contract situation not authorised to speak publicly confirmed Terrell’s deal is worth just over $1 million a season, which places him in the top bracket of props in the game. What do we think?
Expensive but fair enough. The fact he can play so many minutes changes the outlook of our bench. If he is ever out you will see us struggling to hold the middle, especially late in games. He's also one of our leaders, maybe the most important after Api and Luai.

Good props are in short supply and May is right up there with the best. He is our forward leader and it is the price you pay for securing a player of his ability.

💯 Yossarian, Terrell sets a standard every game, maximum effort all game , and Taylan is a quality centre getting better all the time, he is just what we needed in the centres. More signings soon for sure, cue Fainu brothers and surely lock down a good extension for Jock Madden, I’m getting “80’s
Canterbury vibes “ when they were the entertainers with Mortimer and Hughes brothers coached by Ted Glassop ! Enjoying these good times , better to come, great day for West Tigers

Worth $1 million for sure. He is in the elite category.
He is the pack leader we hoped Packer would be and James Tamou and Klemmer...
Massive day for Tigers and Taylan is a rep level centre

Benji is turning into a massive drawcard
