Tesdesco

Welcome to the world of the Tigers backline where every player has to play another position other than their own!
He had a less than stellar game but obviously has some talent.
With the way our centres are going there may be more reshuffling to come.
I'm thinking Potter might end up putting Moltzen in the centres again with Tedesco at the back.

How was he found out ? The centre went in so he had to go in… that is what they are taught.
Where was the fullback coming across in cover ?

I will just ask you that question again I know you are a bit slow....Where was the fullback coming across counting the numbers ?

Yes he dropped the ball from a kick in his 1st full game in the top grade...big deal his a rookie and probably a little nervous that sort of thing happens even to a lot more experienced players.

moronic? welcome to primary school.

I thought he showed weaknesses. I'm not talking about anyone else in the team, I know there are issues elsewhere.

moltzen did an absolutely brilliant 1 on 1 which was a try saver. he chimes in the backline perfectly and is starting to look really sharp. he talks alot, if you watched the games you would realise moltzen is actually really good at this. he's surprising me in how good he actually is playing in the #1 jersey. Tedisco has a hell of a lot of work to do to take it from him.

tebasco let two tries in on his wing, one he should have atleast been strong enough to push him over the sideline, but didn't.

don't take it personally. I think Tabasco has a great future ahead of him, i have no doubt one day he will be our full back, but I don't understand the wraps he's getting from last night - he was average. there's nothing wrong with having an average performance.

I'd be keeping moltz at fb ahead of him based on last night.

Moltzen has to go. !!!!!!!

Tedesco is a fullback.

Moltzen has nothing and I've had enough of this crap where he plays terrible week after week and CONTINUES to be selected.

this is proof people do not watch the games.

Mtd…. I dont get how you can fault Tedesco alone for those tries, they went around him to where he should have been defending I agree, but for him to be in the line where the centre should be thus out of position means those inside him had compressed. His only other option is to stand out on the line and have those tries roll over between himself and Lawrence. It has happened to Koroibete as well this year.

Teddy did what he was supposed to given the circumstances and shouldnt be villified for the incompetence of those inside of him.

Sometime a quality team puts on a good play and catches you short. Doesn't matter who the winger defending is, as soon as it is two or three on one it's try time. Souths did it a few times today and it wasn't due to a lack of quality defensive wingers.

Teddy looked more comfortable in the last 10 when he could slot into the line in attack. The tries however were as a result of good attacking Footy.

I'm happy for Moltzen to keep the number 1 for now. He looked pretty strong at the back last night, I didn't find myself flinching every time the opposition put in a kick or made a line break.

MTD you can have your opinion thats fine But calling him purposely by a different name isn't showing a great deal of respect

i know if i was any way related to James and read this comment I would be appalled and feel ashamed

Your a class act

It doesn't matter who we had on the wing last night those tries are scored almost every time. Same thing happened down that edge in round 1 and we were found out by Uate. Koro MAY have had the speed to get to Williams but even then the problem would have already been caused and only blinding speed could have solved it. Teddy was not at fault for any of it. We aren't alone in this either because Brisbane scored four times down Melbourne's right edge and the sweeping second mans are all over the game right now. Makes sense for the refs to be overpolicing the decoy runners because it's making the game predictable, boring and too difficult for the defense.

are you serious? wow!

given the lack of respect I was given for my "moronic" opinion, I thought it was a pretty funny way to respond.

if anyone related to JT takes it personally it says more about their mental state than my attempted humour.

but hey ur classy u should know that right

I'm not alone faulting him. If u read my Posts I said that I know we have other issues in the team, but I am soley talkin about JT here.
given the wraps on him I just expected more than a pretty average performance. Sure he was on the wing, however to me he looked like he lacks experience, hence the reason for the topic, hence why I think moltzen should be fb for a while longer.

It is a fair point as well. He dropped a bomb cold and a good fullback would have taken that. Moltzen has taken a lot of bombs this year that appeared a lot more difficult to take.

I also think Tedesco didn't look lighting quick. Moltzen looks quick in some space.

In saying all of that I still would like to see Tedesco at 1 going forward. I think Moltzen should get a spot in the team and I prefer him over Miller in the halves at the moment.

Tedesco will only get better. It was his first game with only 24 hours to prepare to play in an unfamiliar position. If he trains the full week on the wing you will see a better performance. In saying that I thought he played OK.
Don't know if you are aware but his coming back from a serious injury and still has his knee strapped, his not going to be at his best for a while.

Deadly serious and at least if I'm giving it to someone I show some class don't give them funny names(well apart from Sheens and i just called him Sheenius)

Moltzen got a season of he is still getting over his reco, well Teddy was playing his first NRL game since his reco, and he was out of position,if Timmy had to play his first NRL game back on the wing we would have a true comparison.
Teddy is way in front of where Moltzen was after his reco, while Moltzen has been ok his kick returns and support play are not up to 1st grade level,Teddy could fix this issue.

So happy, it's ok to call sheens sheenius but not tedesco Tabasco. Sounds like double standards champ.

Agreed there is no comparison one bloke has the ability to be one of the best fullbacks in WT or either foundation clubs history and the other bloke should have gone to the dragons like he agreed to

Yep your right it is a double standard MTD

But if someone had had a shot at me about incorrect spelling ,I would of apologized and still made my point

You on the other hand ,called him Tabasco and Tebasco afterwards

Thats the difference ,I take ownership when I screw up and make a mistake (and that happens a bit trust me)

I suppose I know how James feels every time I had an article in the Queensland Times about whatever I had done they spelt my name wrong

The only time they got it right was when I went DUI as a young halfwit

Theres also the difference of Sheens being a career coach for the last 30 yrs, winning premierships and coaching Australia, when he makes bone headed decisions i think jibes are justified

Criticizing a 20 yr kid whose coming back from a pretty serious injury for a performance in a position he's not familiar with in his second game in FG and to go a step further and purposely spell his name wrong like a baby shows where your maturity is at

And FTR you carried on with this same rubbish last yr iirc after someone else had a shocker. Deliberately mis-spelling his name in order to insult the player, and when questioned that time you responded with some crap that he had a shocker so didn't deserve having his name spelled the correct way. True story

Such maturity
