No matter what happens in the next days . I just like to thank tim for the part he has played in transforming the wests tigers setup from our old Balmain Wests days. He took a struggling wests tigers setup and made it professional and has produced some great juniors and brought some top players to the club alot better then the players we never go at balmain and wests in there last years . Of course there is the negatives but there isnt 1 club or head coach that hasnt produced some shocking decisions on player recruitmant/management but i remember the days of Pearce/ Lamb in charge and if we are wrong and sheens isnt the problem good luck to the next Junior coach we get cos i dont see to many senior guys around to take over . Cheers tim good luck in future at the end of the day there is 17players on the field that have to get the job done no matter who the coach is and i question there comittment ?? hope we r right if sheens gets moved on .

There's no sentiment in business.

Wests tigers are a business.

The situation has gone too far and needs to be remedied.

Tonight.

Im sure everyones thanked him at some stage during his time here.
You can be nice once hes OFFICIALLY gone…well, I might be.

Agreed. Time for a change. But I have a long enough memory to be grateful Sheens came to the Tigers.

Yes agree, time for Sheens to go but I will always be grateful for how he transformed the club and for the 2005 premiership

Agreed guys. IF he does go, which it appears likely. I hope it's not lost that he did a lot for this club. He can be proud of his efforts. I believe that should he walk into another job that he'll find success there too. He's still a great coach, it simply has run out of gas here.

totally agree tim has been great but if he does go i can not see any coach currently available that could fill his shoes i believe west tiger problems are mainly with recruitment and retaining players Ben Teo comes to mind along with all the other well documented players that have been released another problem could be as a unified identity the club seems to be top heavy with balmain people even though west licensed clubs are the major benefactors lets get serious on level terms if we are to survive.

Sheens has gone full circle with the club

Took over and we were a mess

Highlight Obviously 2005 season

Went backwardsfrom 2006 -2009 but the game changed massively and we weren't prepared

2010-2011 we had periods of great football , but the again periods of ordinary football

2012 We are heading back to 2003 with great strides

You know, for a while now I've been at Sheens throat, frustrated with his performance and awaiting his departure desperately.
But honestly, deep down, I wouldn't mind keeping him on. I wasn't that disappointed the other day when he was "safe for now" For the most part, I believe (anyone is free to have another opinion) it's the players that have been lacking determination, passion, motivation in anything they do. This of course, can come back to Sheens, for maybe failing to motivate the players, but I think he has what it takes to lead a side to a premiership.
This year there has been so much publicity around all the outside things they do, fancy boots and jerseys, players on the Footy Show and making videos for their sponsors. I however agree with all the community work they do and am all for that, it's so inspiring to see our "heroes" leading the way in that aspect.
But, at the end of the day, it all comes back to the head of the business, the management of this joint venture, who sell and publicise the Tigers - and that's exactly our problem, trying to hard to make us look good outside of the game. It's all important to some extent, but isn't playing league the reason we all come together as fans to support the boys? I for one couldn't care less if our players were the "funny kid" on the Footy Show, or looking sleek in orange boots. I just wanna watch them play some good ball and enjoy the atmosphere of a stadium or the excitement of my lounge room.

Let's hope that we can build to 2005 again (2013? 2014?) 😛ray:

He does strange things, always has and for me there is no going back on this years team positional selections from sheens. Terrible. Has to go

I have asked the forum before but did't get an answer..does anyone know who has been guiding Payten this year?

Sheens is his main sounding board, but the decisions made are Todd's. Payten has plenty of respect for him though.
