Anyone know how long Scott Fulton was Recruitment Manager at Manly?
Anasta kinda disputes Hagipantelis’ description of ‘the best recruiter in the NRL’ and suggested he’d been in the job for about 12 months.
I know that’s not right because he signed Peseka and Aloia.

The club has absolutely bungled our situation with our halves to the point that we are hoping guys who would be signed as depth by good clubs sign on to be our first choices.
You say if he wanted to stay he would have.
I say that if the club understood how important it was to not be left without experience in the halves for 24 they would have negotiated better. The deadline was bullyboy tactics from a club not in the position to act that way.
I’ve said multiple times I am not a Brooks supporter for halfback….however he was the best option available at that time and we didn’t treat his signature with the correct amount of urgency.

Wouldn't have much mattered what they offered - and he knew it wasnt going to be anything like he was on. And nor should it.
Similar to what happened with Wighton only he was transparent about it - and let them know he wanted out.
Mitchell Moses didn't get what he wanted with Parramatta first offer either - so IMoses worked us till he got what he wanted from Parra because he wanted to play for them. As if Fulton wasn't aware that Siebold/Manly were negotiating with Brooks.
The real issue is that the club has developed a history of not being able to recruit but also retain because of the years of failure on the field - Brooks is just another that fits into that category.

I think Anasta said he'd only been Manly's top 30 recruiter for 12 months. Whether that's correct or not I don't know.
