That's an opinion and that's fine.
If who is the coach isn't going to influence whether they sign or not, why hold off and sign.
They are inferring that if they don't like the Coach they WONT sign

Not necessarily. They could be saying many things..like "Oh you've re-signed Taylor, good stuff where do we sign?"…or "Oh you've re-signed Taylor, good luck with that, see ya later"..or "Oh re are not going to extend Taylor and signed Cleary, not happy about that we are going to Dogs"...or "Oh you've not extended Taylor and signed coach X, thats awesome where do we sign?"

or...it could be as simple as "This is our first real opprtunity at a contract as an established first grader, we can see potential in the future and would like a long successful career in the NRL. I actually understand that its a team game and my success, career and future earning potential will be impacted by the team I play with and the support staff that will be guiding my development. I would like to make an informed decision on my future by not second guessing these things. Can I have some more information please?"

If they're not inferring that they could walk, why not sign now if that the case, once again the point has been missed, no matter

Yes you have missed the point but Ill spell it out a little slower. They have not signed because they want to know who the coach is going to be…..ok stay with me here.... this could be because thye LOVE JT...in which case they would say "Oh you've re-signed Taylor, good stuff where do we sign?",,,,OR (still with me?) they hate JT in which case they may say.... "Oh you've re-signed Taylor, good luck with that, see ya later". Then they may have a preference for a new coach and might want to know who that is....or they may just be responsible and intelligent and think..."This is our first real opprtunity at a contract as an established first grader, we can see potential in the future and would like a long successful career in the NRL. I actually understand that its a team game and my success, career and future earning potential will be impacted by the team I play with and the support staff that will be guiding my development. I would like to make an informed decision on my future by not second guessing these things. Can I have some more information please?"

Let me know if you require more information or have still missed the point.

Have it your own way then but I'm comfortable with my opinion that they are trying to hold off signing ( spoken or unspoken) to decide if they will stay or not, simple , and as I don't care if they are or not. There's not much use going over the same thing again,
My point is that Farah was castigated because he wanted his opinion listened to and the same people who castigated him aren't treating these guys the same,
Although today there was the beginning of a few starting to see the similarity.

It's strange actually, but after the disaster that was started to get rid of Farah, it would seem that Robbie may not have been the disruptive influence That we were led to believe.
Things aren't rosy in the kitchen this season and the scapegoat isn't here.
it was going to be the answer to all the problems , but the problems are still here

Interesting what Phil Gould had to say about them…

Do you mean what Johns said, and Gus agreed?

I actually have not heard it first hand so I should and listen to it. My mate who i watch the games with said in Gus podcast the Tigers have it all wrong these 4 players are holding the club to ransom. I assume he was going off passed experienced when he came in and made some big calls at Penrith ( in taking out some big names and rebuilding from scratch)

Haha what a jerkoff

http://www.weststigersforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28266

Well he's worked with the Broncos New Zealand and more recently the Roosters…

Our big 4 seem to rate him...

A touch footy guru who tells players to "trust the ball"…Lolllol like i said. Jerkoff.

You are the only jerkoff I see.
I had a lot of faith in JT but seriously getting rid of Joe Wehbe how stupid are you? I thought you were dumb playing Lovett at centre and then signing Edwards but seriously this takes the cake.
You are not long for this club now JT but thanks for getting rid of Robbie we appreciate it.

You were howled down, but you were right.

Yeh I may have to have a sickie tomorrow, I have been getting messages from a stack of mates this afternoon after the news broke. All of them new my position on our now former coach, whilst it has been hectic, it has been great as well, now to get Cleary and start the fix

As much as many hate Tallis on here he hit the nail on the head

Our problems all stem from the forwards , we need to sign quality forwards first before signing Brook and Moses in particular

Put a great forward pack in front of them and see if they want to walk away then perhaps …....

Who cares who said it, it's true. Build a Pack in front of them and then ask if they want to play behind it. If they say yes offer them a fee that takes into consideration there unproven form and the cost to get that pack. If they don't want the offer I'm sure other halves will.

I like that idea.

As I said a few days ago the club needed to make a decision about the coach asap (well within 4-6 weeks ) they have , nothing more we can do and just move on with the next one

Webster you have my support ,Captain my Captain (stands on chair ) make us proud WT's supporters :sign:

http://www.smh.com.au/rugby-league/league-news/clock-ticking-as-wests-tigers-place-signing-deadline-on-big-four-20170320-gv2hd3.html

**Clock ticking as Wests Tigers discuss placing signing deadline on Tedesco, Woods, Moses and Brooks**
>
D-Day is looming at the Wests Tigers with the club considering imposing a signing deadline on the big four.
>
At a board meeting inside Wests-Ashfield Leagues Club on Monday night, Tigers' hierarchy discussed giving an ultimatum to James Tedesco, Aaron Woods, Mitchell Moses and Luke Brooks: Either sign for us, or we'll sign others.
>
It's a decision that will set the club and its superstar quartet on a collision course and force the four into a decision in the coming weeks.
>
It's remained under wraps but Wests Tigers management had actually put offers on the table to keep them at the club before the start of the season. The players didn't budge then and it's unlikely they will budge now.
>
The players want to know who will be coaching the Tigers in 2018 and beyond before putting pen to paper. Problem is, the club expects the process to appoint a new coach to take more than two months, and aren't willing to wait that long to establish their roster for next season.
>
Negotiations are ongoing with the big four, but if they stall any longer - the ultimatum is forthcoming.
>
Anthony Milford, Josh Reynolds, Jack Bird, Chad Townsend, Kieran Foran, Shaun Johnson and Gareth Widdop headline the list of off-contract playmakers, which is why the Tigers want to know if Brooks and Moses want to remain at the club.
>
The Tigers are also fed up over a perception they are being held to ransom by their manager, Isaac Moses, and will attempt to shift the balance of power with a take it or leave it ultimatum.
>
The club's football committee gathered on Tuesday to begin the hunt for a new coach. Ivan Cleary is expected to be atop that list. The club will consider all applications and are expected to go to the board with at least three recommendations.
>
At this stage there are no plans to fast-track the coaching appointment process, however that could change if there is an immediate interest of expression from Cleary that is rubber-stamped by the board.
>
Todd Payten, who coached many of the players in the Tigers' junior system, has the support of the playing group. However his departure from the club has left a sour taste in the mouth of those who matter, and given he was overlooked as Mick Potter's successor, he is unlikely to be thrown into the hot seat this time around. He is also managed by Moses.
>
The players don't want a say on who the club should appoint, but you can be guaranteed they want to know who it is before committing.
>
For established stars like Woods and Tedesco, time won't alter their value. But Brooks and Moses have raised some alarm bells at Tiger town with disappointing performances over the past fortnight.
>
The club still believe they are the right halves to lead the club into the future, but there are plenty of reservations over offloading big money to players who haven't found consistency at the top level.
>
However at Monday's press conference, chief executive Justin Pascoe and Marina Go announced their intention to move quickly on the retention of their high-profile players by highlighting their belief the players would sign before the announcement of the coach.
>
This goes against what their skipper said on NRL 360 the week before when he admitted he wanted to know who would be coaching the club before committing.
>
Woods was locked in a debate with the coach in the tunnel at GIO Stadium after the 40-point loss to the Raiders on Sunday, trying to work a way out of the hole the team had dug itself in.
>
He didn't call for the coach's head. The faces on the players after the shellacking at the hands of the Raiders did that. In fact, Woods publicly backed the coach and admitted it was time the club's young players began living up to the hype in an interview with Fairfax Media on the eve of Taylor's sacking.
>
"Everyone says we have really good young blokes, but we need to start living up to that hype mate," Woods said on Sunday night.
>
"It doesn't matter who our coach is. The boys love JT, so we have to go out there and play our footy. He's not the one going out there and playing. We deserve all the crap we've been getting because it's simply not good enough. We haven't been getting beat by two or four points, we're getting flogged by 30 or 40\. It's not good enough.
>
"And we've scored one try in two weeks – that was from an intercept not a set play. We've lost our mojo in our attack because I think we're trying to score off every play. We need to play a bit more direct and straighter. Our halves have to learn how to control the game. It's not just our halves – it's the nine and the one too. We have to learn how to control a game and that's why we're a bit immature as a squad."
>
Those aren't the words of a man looking to leave. They are the words of a frustrated captain who has the Leichhardt postcode tattooed on his body. Tedesco, Moses and Brooks look up to their skipper. His movements are pivotal to their future. His movements are even more pivotal to the future of the Wests Tigers.
>
Reality check
>
It's easy to get caught up in the drama of rugby league and sometimes forget just how insignificant it really is.
>
The Wests Tigers were given a dose of reality last week when some sad news surrounding the health of Elijah Taylor's daughter came to light.
>
Taylor is one of the NRL's genuine good guys, but his world was turned upside down when his baby girl was admitted into intensive care last week fighting for her life.
>
The players' hearts went out to their teammate, who withdrew from the match against the Raiders to be with his family.
>
"There are bigger things in the world than football," Aaron Woods said. "And we just want him to look after his little one because it's really sad at the moment what he's going through."
>
Our thoughts are with the Taylor family.

Ultimatum's never end well….

Sign by the weekend or pack your bags and truck off. Thats to all 4 of them. Dragging this out is just ridiculous.

You're right. The longer this drags on the more it will derail whatever opportunity we have left to salvage something from this season. I'm not necessarily saying we'll make the finals but if we lock down who we want to lock down, and they start playing decent footy, it bodes well for the new coach to lure some external talent over to complement them, particularly if they are a decent coach ala Cleary.

Tedesco and Woods are 100% committed to Wests Tigers. They should distance themselves from the other two. I am fairly confident both have signed but Issac Moses wants all four announced at the same time.

The ultimatum should be given to the two nonperforming hangers on Brooks and Moses, take it or leave it..No great loss.

P.S. Some good news for you.. guess what, Joe Wehbe is back.

Good to hear this from Woods…

"Everyone says we have really good young blokes, but we need to start living up to that hype mate," Woods said on Sunday night.

Surely you would appoint a coach first and see who he wants to keep? All negotiations should be put on hold until the new coach starts
But not us. Let's fill our roster, then dump the duds on the new guy to work with.
Brilliant
