Is that true? I really hope there's some explanation. If there isn't it's a terrible indictment of the club.
We were supposed to support a club ran event in the ground last night. We had people show up for it but it wasn't there. I would guess that it didn't go ahead because of the NRL covid restrictions but we weren't informed and haven't received an explanation. We spent the week promoting this event for the club.
Thanks for the response. That is seriously terrible. I don't think any of the recently announced COVID restrictions would have stopped the event proceeding but, even if they did, it's common courtesy and a sign of an organisations's efficiency that they would advise fellow organisers.
I don't want to go overboard but it's symptomatic of how this club operates and ultimately the results it produces on the field. I hope you hold them to account. I am very close to having nothing further to do with a club that I've supported (through Wests) since 1961. Cataclysmic change is needed.
There were supposed to be players in attendance and players have entered a bubble so that was going to be an issue. We had also organised for members of the women's team to be in attendance so I believe there was nothing stopping that from happening.
I can understand if they had to cancel it, would be just nice to be informed.

Same problem I encountered on the occasions I organised a get together ,they promised to send someone to the venue and have a chat....at the last minute no one is available..but at least they told me after I made several phone calls..
All I can say is its disheartening to the guys who organise the Ambush (coshise and co) and embarrassing to be left stranded looking like an idiot with no communication between the parties...A wise old man told me once ""courtesy costs you nothing""...maybe Pascoe and co could have that quote put up on their office wall....
