Great opportunites to have pre game events at Bankwest. They set aside a stadium bar last time and I know the mad tigers supporter who runs the food and drink out their is keen to organise more when the games kick off again.

Yeah, we have spoken to Lars, we were down the road towards having events in that space similar to what you have attended at Wests Ashfield and then the club decided to take over the space and that was why they ended up with the Wests Tigers bar. I think that is actually the perfect location for us to run something and we could fill that space pretty easily.

I just want to congratulate all the guys involved with the Ambush and sharing with us updates and info that some of us arent privy to...I hope it keeps growing and becomes an annual event(s) for many seasons to come...:+1:

Unfortunately it is looking like our next planned event in Round 18 will need to be cancelled due to Covid. Which is really disappointing because we had just confirmed Marina Go as our guest speaker for that event.

Dont be disheartened coshise,this bloody Covid crap has disrupted and ruined many peoples functions,jobs,businesses and lives....all I can do is offer what ever help I can give you if needed and wish you guys all the best until we can see our way clear of this dreaded virus...

Yeah our little events are trivial in the scheme of things, just been good to meet a heap of other supporters and quite a few of the people on here as well. Been looking forward to meeting you as well, hopefully we get a chance to before this dreaded season ends.

I reckon Your little and trivial [and probably unique among League Clubs] events as you called them will grow into something much larger as time goes by, which will be a big thing for Wests Tigers and Our fans in helping to grow Our Club.

I actually met Yvonne Sampson who is making the doco at our event at the Sackville hotel. She showed us some of the early rough footage and the doco looks great. It is a bit of a pet project for her.

It is not just me doing this, we have a really good group of people @Tiger_Steve @geo @jirskyr @Celtic_Tiger plus a couple of people who aren't from on here do a lot of work to make this work.

I'm working from home and am ok 99% of the time but am starting to miss simple stuff like a coffee on the way to work, visiting the gym or grabbing a Friday afternoon beer with a mate.

I remind myself that my grandparents were under lockdown from Nazi occupation and I'm being a sook but the idea of a long Sydney lockdown is daunting.

Does anyone have any tips?

You're allowed to go for a walk?
Go to a park and do some burpees, sprints, push ups.
Or use your yard if you have one.

Stay social, via technology.
Call some friends for a chat.
Chat with the people on here, discord, any other forums you may use.
Skype, zoom, etc.

Spend time with your significant other.
If you don't have one, use dating apps to connect with locals for a chat, get to know some one, etc.

Start a new show - anything HBO is good.

Tidy your room, wardrobe, house in general.
Keep busy, there's always some work that needs to be done.

You play video games?
Always people online playing those.

Buy a puzzle, LEGO - they have hectic ones now a days like Lamborghini ones you can build. Paint a picture.

Lockdown isn't a punishment.
It's an opportunity.
You can finish off some jobs.
You can better yourself.

Maybe enroll in online learning.
Could hammer out a Cert IV in 4 weeks if you dedicate yourself.

Sky's the limit.

If you get a virtual event happening, will it be accessible by anyone?

I would love to get to one of these events (and a game) but that's just not a practical option with interstate travel being the way it is at the moment. So a virtual event would be great.
