The Ashes

Smith giving a masterclass
Khawaja struggling but records a fighting 50
Aussie bowlers stole a good 100 runs from the poms this morning.

Daylight between Smith and the rest of the batters in this ashes series. I just wonder how he would have gone against a real class attack, but I guess he seems to be able to do it against all the attacks running around these days, so maybe he would also have some success against a West Indies class attack.

One thing for sure, the Poms lack a spinning option, even if it is just to add some variety.

I think he would have done exactly as he is currently. He looks like an extraordinarily annoying batsman to bowl to as he has a kitbag of unorthodox shots he can use in every situation. People talk about Kohli but he is inconsistant compared with our bloke. He is something special.

You'd think he'd easy to catch in front given how often he steps in front of the pegs to flick it behind leg but the problem is he has a fantastic eye and almost always gets bat to ball.

Bats with the ugliest techniques tend to always do quite well. Tugger and AB weren't gifted with correct strokeplay either.

Did the aussies get on the piss.last nite?

No, the ball is just reversing. Aussie batsmen always come back to the field when it's reversing.

I'd say the variation the 12 metre long crack on the right armers bowling line offered probably had something to do with it too.

It was spitting like a cobra first up.

They have the hairs dryers out.
If those monkeys over in WA have let water seep onto the pitch…and it’s unplayable .I think public hangings should be brought back.

That could be classified as pitch tampering.

You'd think that on the eve on an Ashes series win that the ground staff would've done a decent job of covering the pitch

Unless it was council workers
:roll

6 leaf blowers on the go
Talk about desperate !

If these clowns have caused a draw … at the very least they will all be sent of to England in wooden boats and will never be allowed to set foot in Oz again.

one of the WACCA ground staff might have to go for a HIA.
