As far as making the 8, brisbane pipped us not long ago and got thrashed in the first game of the playoffs, if we made it, it would have been like a GF to us and put in a better effort imo.

Actually , in all seriousness the betting this year has been the most even for a number of years thus far, so it's a pretty even competition .

Attack woeful but defence last 2 weeks great conceding 3 tries all from bombs in 2 games and one was lucky from ball hitting upright .did you see bulldogs and dragons Sunday defence hopeless .the wooden spoon winner is usually a bad bad defensive team

I can’t see the Dogs or Broncos finishing last. Their rosters aren’t great, but they are too good for the spoon. The Dragons and Warriors will be our biggest rivals imo.

I hope I'm wrong, but I don't see us winning any of the next 3 games. Next win/first win not until round 8 against the Dragons. If the others keep losing too then we could jump them...

The spoon battle will surely come down to results between some of the lesser sides - Tigers, Dogs, Titans, Broncos, Dragons, Cowboys. If you can win against your other feather-weights, you don't get the spoon.

It's like relegation from the EPL - you don't necessarily have to beat good teams, you just have to beat the other relegation-zone sides.

Seriously though, it’s far too early to be talking about the spoon. If we can talk about the spoon we should be also talking about the finals. Something will click. All we need is a settled spine and players getting comfortable with Brooksy directing traffic. It looks like it’s starting to work.
