The Cambo Curse

The club just needs to reduce prices to make it a sell out these days. We need to learn from the bulldogs approach in recent years.
I will firstly state I do not like the bulldogs, however last week they offered a 4 game flexi pass for $75. Appreciate they play out of Accor which is a huge stadium but under $20 a ticket is a very good deal. Considered buying a pass as we play them at Accor in round 20 but couldn’t bring myself to do it I would rather pay full price.

Today we also played the KOE after the NRL which is a waste when we could have had it on before the NRL and made it a fan experience to remember. We lost 24-22 maybe a big crowd could have helped lift them to a win.

Crowd today 15,221, hopefully they all come back on Saturday night but I’m not sure they will.
Travelling to/ from Leumeah by train not as attractive at night as a Sunday arvo.
Let’s see but that’s just my take. I reckon 13-14k.
Looks like ticket sales are doing better atm than it was at this time for the knights game

Most of the middle bays look to be almost out

I got there a bit under an hour before kick off, the crowds at the gates going in were huge....it really took me back to our succesful seasons...usually theres a few dozen people waiting around for friends etc an hour before hand

Was great to see the Laurie Daley Cup & Andrew Johns cup premiers there being recognised on field...and all the smaller kids for the Jnr League appreciation round

Seemed to be heaps more Balmain jumpers than usual, the reception the boys got coming off at half time was something else, the crowd was right into it

Hopefully this redevelopment in '28 can help to enclose the ground even more....the open nature of it lessens the crowd noise somewhat.
It was pleasing to see the community effort WTs put in thru the week leading up to the game..new signage at the ground " Home of the Wests Tigers".even if we gave away a few free thousand tickets who cares it helps to pack the ground ...as someone else mentioned the Dogs do it at Accor with cheap tix to attract even more fans

Win and they will come

It was easy to see the area is the future...great vibe there before during and after the game

I thought Ctown could hold 20k? Either way, next week will be sold out aswell you’d think. Sales look even stronger than the knights game already

Even with the new grandstand coming, I can’t help but feel the atmosphere at the ground will be a bit underwhelming for the foreseeable future.

It would be great to see the existing grandstands extended with additional upper tiers running from try line to try line. At the moment, they only span about the 30 metre lines, which limits the overall impact.
