The Cambo Curse

Best atmosphere imo has been our two most recent games at Commank v Parra.

Will be interesting to see if we get 20K plus for our home games there this year.

Attributing loses to the ground or time of day = loser mindset.

The Wests Tigers teams over the years just haven't been good. No surprise they're going to have a losing record at most venues, most times of the day, and against most opposition!
I agree somewhat, but would you then agree that even having a home ground has zero impact whatsoever? Because you state we have been shit over the years, yet Leichhardt has maintained a 50% plus record...a true anomaly given our form. Now, I will grant you, the ground doesn't score the tries or make the tackles, but given the stats below, something is going on here. It's not coincidence.

Since 2020:
We've won 3 of the last 20 at Campbelltown or 15% win rate.
We've won 10 of the last 20 at Leichhardt or 50% win rate.
This goes back to 2020. This is smack bang in the middle of our wooden spoon three-peat. A 50% record at home is remarkable considering how many games we won during that period overall.

Overall since 2000:
Campbelltown has a win rate of 40% across 108 games (43 wins, 65 losses),
Leichhardt has a win rate of 55% across 103 games (57 wins, 43 losses).

What is true of both grounds is we have underperformed in the last 20 games compared to the averages, but Leichhardt maintains a huge lead overall across a large sample size and over the last 20, maintains a respectable average given how poor we were across the last 5 years.

People are just pointing out the obvious based on the record. I'm not trying to hypothesise WHY we're losing games at Campbo, merely pointing out that we ARE losing games there and there is a significant difference to the other home ground being Leichhardt.

Something is not right and I'd like to know what that is and how to fix it.

Leichhardt has a real atmosphere every time we play there. There's history in the ground there and the players feel it and lift.

Campbtelltown ... not so much.

Yes except we’ve lost some important games to really average sides at Leichhardt over the years as well. We may lift but I wouldn’t call it a fortress that’s for sure.
And the 85% of games we lost at Campbeltown since 2020 were not important? Just the Leichhardt ones?

Would those games be "important" if we could actually win at our other ground?

I'm not coming after you btw...just testing this framing and logic a bit.

Most Wests supporters call Lidcombe home, If it wasn't for the great nursery they wouldn't be at Cambo at all.
This is true however, as a magpie fan completely support wests tigers if we don’t move there full time in the long term we are lacking an iq higher than room temperature.

Definitely the most recent Easter Monday game
Felt like a 50/50 split of fans too at their home game

We play the Dogs and Penrith soon at Commbank, I think we can get 25k+ at both games provided we keep our form

I hope so. The sleeping giant is slowly waking up.

It’s important we turn up for the big Sydney rivalries.

Keep it going and some 50k plus crowds at Accor could be the next frontier.

Also.

Pre Game Song

Do not play the Inxs song before the game.

It's to slow and sad.

Play Enter Sandman like Virginia Tech in the USA

Now thats a team entry
