Its a pity to lose players the club has bent over backwards to accommodate and keep over the last 2-3 years.
But it just goes to show that LOYALTY does not exist. When your 1st year Captain jumps ship you have to question whether this bloke ever had any passion for the club…the answer is obviously NNNOOO !!!!
Its a free world and its a players right to play for whoever they choose, but for fans its obviously very disappointing because we support our team for FREE, year in year out for 10,20,30,40 years, even a lifetime. We buy the jerseys, go to the games and all at great expense to ourselves.
If I would be critical of the WT club admin it would be simply this;
1\. Allowing all your key players to come off contract at the same time...big big no no, this never should have been allowed to happen.
2\. The treatment of a club legend in Farah and to a lesser degree Marshall would have shown Teddy, Woods and Moses that if the shoe was on the other foot the club would toss them eventually down the track when they were considered no longer wanted by the club.
In many respects when you crap on your own culture, its difficult to expect any loyalty down the track.
Phil Gould hit the nail on the head 4-5 weeks ago when he said the WT may have to just get rid of all of them and start again. And this is where we are now...starting again. At least Ivan has come out from the start and said "get on or off the bus"....and as fans I'd rather support a team with players who want to put in for the club, the team and the fans rather than this lot of prima donna's.
