The Ellis and Lui Bromance

I have noticed this partnership develop well over the later half of the year and now its blossomed in to a wonderful bromance. I am of course talking about Robert Lui and Gareth Ellis who are now a formidable attacking duo. Lui often creating space and time for Ellis to charge through with the ball. However tonight it went even further as Ellis stood up for Lui as they targeted him defensively pushing up in the line and covering holes whenever Lui mistakenly created them, or coming in to help him with a tackle and helping out as second marker when he was getting knocked down again. Its a great thing to see develop so quickly and I hope it will continue in to the future.

Keep it up guys, your playing out of your skin for the team and each other :wink:

I'm at the point now that I think he's the only one we cant do without.

Over 60 tackles made between the 2 of them last night. Every team is targeting Lui in defence and he's making around 20 tackles a match, double compared to Benji. While he misses a few, I think the extra defensive pressure and workload will make him a more complete player next season. Ellis is simply a weapon, love watching him play every week.
