The Ennis media machine is in overdrive, now with the Herald

From today's DT…

Canterbury's Michael Ennis has been penalised 15 times this year, the most of any player in the NRL.

Quick, pull me up a chair, I think I'm going to faint from surprise…

i wonder what ennis' excuse will be for tonights performance against the sea eagles, he had a blinder! im sure the telegraph will write something good about him anyway no matter how many knockons he made.

It will make no difference in Stuarts eyes - with the SOO team being announced today its obvious he has no interest in seeing how Robbie goes.
Just some stats on Ennis performance against Manly - he ran 8 times for a measly 29 mtrs, no try assists, no line breaks, no tackle busts, 4 errors but did make 45 tackles - this supposedly is made for origin type stats.

How many of those tackles was he the second man in?

In the games i have watched he is very rarely the first man into a tackle, in fact he misses most tackles when he is first man in. It is a myth that he is a good defender.

Dont like him never have never will, all he is in my books, is an opportunist. One day he's gonna make himself out to be the biggest goose I cant wait for the day to come.

He'll still be one of the first picked for Origin though, regardless :unamused:

Blocker Roach made an interesting comment last Thursday night on the 1HD league show in relation to the NSW hooker position. Joel Caine was the only panelist to pick Farah (the rest picked Ennis) Roach jumped on Caine saying words to the effect that farah was not suitable for origin because he needs a clean 10 metre ruck area to work in and the Qlders cheat too well around the ruck for Robbie to be effective. I was waiting for Joel to bite back but unfortunately the topic was quickly changed. I switched channels after that couldn't listen to the dribble any longer.

Yeh he already did that in game 3 last year and nothing happened.
He did it again last night making 4 errors with his runs averaging less then 4m and he still gets picked.
