The grub

Nothing wrong with the tackle , just something wrong with the referees

The referees are getting worse every season

The gulf between the quality of games and the quality refereeing is beyond belief

I'm not a Manly fan in any way ,shape or form but if I was Lyon I would of told the refs next BS call and we walk

and if i was the ref i would have sent him off for constant whingeing - the guy is the biggest sook in the game.
Also have you noticed in big games with top teams the refs allow things to go that they penalise lesser teams for - i saw at least 6 occasions where the Tigers would have been penalised for slowing the play down in the tackle where no action was taken - so much for consistency.

Nothing wrong with the Matai tackle. But yeah, the bloke is an attention-seeking tool, which explains why he rolls around injured every single game without fail.
Have to agree with others though in saying I wish he played for us, we have no intimidation factor whatsoever.

I reckon he was within his rights last night DP , and half the time he wasn't whinging he was getting called out for players being put on report . The only way we are going to fix the issues with referees is for clubs to do something dramatic , the NRL don't listen year after year .Both the Manly tries last night defied the rules that Anderson put into place Try No 1 Asotasi had half a day to get himself into a position to make a tackle and got dragged by the coach while the decision was pending and where does Ballin go ??

The play had gone on for about 7-8 seconds before that point

Try 2 Refeee calls try and sends it upstairs , so the video ref has to be able to DISPROVE the validity of the try They look at 6 angles and I couldn't see anything either way that made 100% sure so under the guise of the rules it should of been a try

Of the games i have seen this season that was probably the best , but again the refs find a way to screw it up

I Love Madges hard line stance - and he picked up on something that i've said for years - Asotasi is lazy - he'll probably be lining up for Norths again next week for this!

If that was Sheens he would have patted Asotasi on the back after the game, said "thanks mate!" and bought him a beer.

That is the aggresion the Tigers have been lacking since the Blocker days .
Can someone please tell me is there any other player that winges more than Jamie Lyon far oiut he goes on .

Best game I've seen all year. They bashed the crap out of each other. I really wish we could play like that. And yeah catai is a tool. He cops a tap an rolls around like his shoulder has fallen off then puts a massive hit on a 120kg monster. Like someone else said he is an attention seeking tool

I hate manly but I love the way they play.
As soon as they start to lose they just get aggressive. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.
The tigers just roll over like pussies.

He does have a serious shoulder/neck injury that causes him a lot of trouble

Unlike players from our club he doesn't back off and be in fear of reinjuring it , he just goes in harder next time with no thought for his own self preservation A bit like Fulton

I wish we had half a dozen Steve Matai style players at our club , we wouldn't be on the end of too many shellackings and we would never go down without a fight

The real question is how did Sam Burgess not get 10.

THAT guy is an A grade grub as well as Matai but never gets called on it

Yeah I've heard that before happy. Just seems like every time he knocks on, throws a crap pass or gets run over he grabs his shoulder. But then he comes up with a hit like that with no dramas. I reckon he bungs it on a bit sometimes that's all I'm saying
