The last time we played and recent run of form

I think if we get a lead they might crack a bit under the pressure. Last time we played them we didn't have Lui, Fifita or Dwyer and Lawrence was playing 5/8 (I think). Any other factors that led to our loss last time?

Dragons last six rounds:

bye
Manly (weakened) at home 18k won easily 28-0
Souths (weakened) at home 17k won easily 38-24
Newcastle away won easily 26-18
Canberra away lost 32-16

In the last month the Dragons haven't been up against much (the first half effort by Manly was good) and they haven't been in a big game atmosphere since last year.

Tigers last six matches:

Canberra away 27k won 26-24
Roosters home 33k lost 19-15
Gold Coast 22k? lost 21-18
Melbourne home 18k won 26-14
Parramatta away 20k won 20-18

I am happier with our prep compared to theirs. If people had got injuries last night the week off would have been an advantage to them. But Lawrence, Gibbs and Fulton are better for getting another run around and winning away from home is good for confidence.

When we played them last time the score blew out in the end, it was a good contest tho.
We didn't have a recognised halves partner for Benji, and if memory serves me corectly that was the night that Tiquiri and Lawrence couldn't catch a cold and their combination misfired.

If we can get on top of them slightly and play our own style we could go along way in this game.
If the tiges sit back and let st george control the game it could be a very long night.

st george don't have a plan B. They have always played from in front. Simply score quick early tries and watch them flounder around because they've never been in the situation where the pressure is on THEM

I think Lawrence was partnering Benji in the halves playing No.6 but I'm not too sure.

Either way, we certainly didn't have settled halves, and Benji was at 7\. Alot has changed since then…..

I think both teams are in good form and it's no suprise they're up against each other in finals football. It's fair to say that our last 3 games have all been 50/50 games which have gone our way once, against two pretty decent teams as well. Last time we played was back at Oki Chokie in round 16\. We were competing for most of the game but faded away in the last ten. End score was 34-10, not a fair reflection of how tight the game really was. But this time it's at a fairly neutral ground to both teams, and we've vastly improved since R16.
