The Laurie Daley pearls of wisdom thread

Hey now that Loz has gone ..I would like to dedicate this thread to Bwiath..

Who just came up with in talking about Conner Watson ..He needs to keep it simple..either he runs or passes it...

You don't say Bwaith..what's his other option pick the ball up and stand there...

Staying on topic, I love Loz
Has the big nose like my uncle.
He must be getting paid to
Work TAB, would b good in coms

This needed a bump I remember this thread I use to read before becoming a forum member many many years ago I have been reading this forum for a very long time

And it came to mind when reading about Laurie Daley and Brain cells

Everyone please be kind and don't laugh to hard in this thread

One of my favourite all time Laurie quotes working for Fox on super Saturdays

"It will be a game of two half's and whoever score's the most points will win"

We really need one for Blocker. Just from this season alone so far

Jye Gray gets injured and is down for about two minutes. Play goes on. Camera cuts back to him with trainer. Blocker says “Looks like he’s up and about”. Literally as he’s stepping over the sideline

Knights scrum 35 out 90 seconds from halftime

“Newcastle may as well have a go here”

Dylan Lucas gets sent to the bin for tacking a player running to the 20 to take the restart. “He saw that he took the ball and was racing to the 20 for the restart. I think he thought he was playing on”…..What?

My all time favourite though was from a few years ago. A player went off with a neck injury, and he says “Will that be a HIA? Your head is apart of your neck isn’t it?”

Blocker ain't the best commentator but apart from Beetson, Blocker and Lazarus would be the 2 best props I have seen.
