The most juniors playing elsewhere

Ok, who has the most juniors playing elsewhere in the NRL??? Paul Gallen is a parramatta junior, so is Trent Hodgkinson and Kris Keating at the dogs. Jarryd Hayne is a wests junior and is so is Krisnan Inu and Israel Filou. Feliti Mateo is a parramatta junrior as well as well as the Williams Brothers playing for Cronulla and Manly, Blake Ayshford is a Roosters Junior, Ben Roberts is a Wests Junior as well. Discuss.

Discuss what? The random assortment of NRL players you've listed? Well…
Hayne was playing for Cabramatta well before he got into the NRL. As far as I know he never played any junior reps for Wests. Ditto Folau who was around 12 when he moved to Qld. Inu played for Liverpool and Cabramatta.
Ben Roberts as I understand it, played his juniors in Parramatta although someone with more knowledge on this could confirm this.

I would imagine Wests, Parra and Penriff would all have quite substantial numbers of players playing elsewhere other than their junior area.

The Dragons have a few as well. Tim Kalifa the centre you played for the dogs when morris was out injured played for minto, though never doned a wests jersey at any stage, we need to make sure we dont get raided by other nrl clubs and loose valuable juniors which we develop.

The most important thing about juniors is keeping the right ones . At that age they can be so unpredictable and the person who is a star at say 17-18 may not be a star a 20-22 . And vice versa . I think we are doing a good job at the moment . No one bleedingly obvious stands out that has come back to burn us lately

The Illawarra catchment has been a forwards goldmine over the years

I was making mention of this as the pamfers dont really have any juniors that have left to play for another club, except for Frank Pritchard and hes a wests junior that Royce Simmons stole of wests whilst he was coaching the Pamfers. Does this mean that penwiff pamfers juniors are now playing AFL or other sport instead of Rugby League??? If you look at the juniors we have mostly lost, they are of pacific islander appearance.

Just imagine how good the cowboys would be if they Robert Lui, Ben Farrer, Billy Slater, Justin Hodges, Sam Thaiday, Ben Barba which are all local juniors which have been lost to them. They would have an even more impressive backline

Yes but had Wests had more support all these guys would be in Wests jerseys after all we are the WESTS tigers your attempt to blow this thread up yossarian with your comment smacks of "boneheadism".

Central Coast has a large juniors base too. Size doesn't necessarily mean good players but probability wise it's more likely.
When talent scouting juniors it gets tricky. You can't select everyone, a lot get signed when they're young, some go walk about, others get in trouble and some just grow up and enter real world.
I think our grassroots program is working really well no need to sweat.

See you're on shaky ground when you resort to insults. Fact is, most of the people mentioned as "lost" left the area as early teens. Had absolutely zero to do with the Wests Tigers.
